The programs provide participants with the Personal Safety skills needed to recognize assess and mitigate threats to their safety and security. This is accomplished through teaching them to recognize the Pre-incident indicators that are always present prior to crime or violence occurring and the Social Engineering techniques utilized by criminals and predators to gain access to their victims. The program also provides them with a set of simple Personal Safety concepts and tools to develop a Personal Safety Plan for themselves and their families. All participants receive an 80 page participant manual with detailed information on all of the topics covered during the course (PDF). The second component of the program is Self Defense. My programs teach simple, practical and combat proven combative concepts designed to incapacitate an assailant and allow the individual to escape the situation. The course emphasizes de-escalation and avoidance over conflict and that combat is always the last resort. The Combatives principals utilize Vital Point Striking and Kinetic Linking to allow even a small individual to control a larger/stronger individual. The techniques are all Gross Motor to account for the Adrenal Stress Response that is present in all stressful/dangerous situations. Read more
