In 1998 with the encouragement of her husband she ventured out to showcase her wedding services and products to assist other couples attain their dream. <p> The discipline Wendy brings to her work and to her life was developed early by her parents, who like many Asian parents - demanded academic excellence and to never settle for less than perfection. Wendy holds two Bachelor and one Masters university level degrees. She also holds certificates through the Canadian Institute of Floral Design, Flowers Canada Ontario School of Floral Design and the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada. She has taken several courses in clothing and textiles as well. <p> The inspiration for her custom products stemmed from her own wedding experience. Wendy aspired to add the blended touch of east and west to honor her heritage. Both cultures are steeped in tradition, rituals and symbolism when it comes to weddings. Will recommend Wendy after leaving the big day in her very capable hands. We planned big events ourselves, capable of doing it ourselves, but wanted to enjoy our big day, not coordinate it. She negotiated significant savings on most items which more than covered her fee.
Wendy went beyond the call of duty--flowers, bridesmaid dresses, decor, day coordination, budgeting, stationary, linens, backdrop--and kept the planning process efficient and productive. In retrospect, it was definitely a good decision to retain her in our wedding planning.
Our advice is that couples really need a specialist to get things done--and done well. Making first contact with her was the single most important step in the right direction, which paid dividends--literally and emotionally--after all was said and done.
