There were no national cuisines at this point, only the inspired and adventurous use of new flavours. In the same way, the food at Segar is unbound by cultural distinction, inspired by a time when flavours met each other for the first time. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Segar. We enjoyed every second of the meal. From the flavour of the food to the detailed explanations of the cooking techniques and the ingredients from the maitre d/waiter; everything was perfect. This was our first time there, but it will not be our last. Spread the word as this is a gem of a restaurant.

This is the type of Sri Lankan / South Indian fusion food I have been seeking for a long time. This type of food will appeal to a broad section of canadians. The prices are reasonable. A very creative chef who should do well in this neighbourhood.

Had a great dinner at Segar last night. The food was great... a nice spicy seafood soup followed by a tender duck dinner.
It's a new restaurant in the neighborhood and I look forward to going back soon.
