I had my marine engine, a 5.7l mercruiser completely rebuilt by Mike and
his boys....no surprises...and actually he threw in extras at no charge...
Motor ran great all summer, more torque...I now have developed an oil leak
somewhere...Called up Mike today. He said bring it in and we take care of you...
Thats what I like to hear...I'll post more when I get this leak looked at.

I took my 2007 Avalanche tow Mike because of a noise in the engine, he took the engine out and rebuild it, I asked if he found any major damage he said no, anyway $5000 later I find out they rebuilt the engine and reused the old spark plugs and air filter. 40000km later I complained of a lifter knock, Mike said it was normal, me being a mechanic I told him the knock I was hearing was not normal the knock turned into a miss I removed the valve cover and found one of the active filters on cylinder one was not working so I took the truck back to active engines, Mike told me that it was a oil solenoid problem and not a lifter problem, I had to explain to him that only cylinders 1,4,6,7 have active lifter on both valves and if it was the solenoid that both filters would not work as they both share the same oil ports, Mike finally agreed to change the lifter, Mike called the next day nd said the lifter was changed and the problem was still the same. I told him to put it back together and I would fix it myself. Here is the bad part you have to remove the cylinder head to change the lifters so I pulled the engine apart and to my suprise I found the problem, they had indeed replaced the lifter but they put it in backwards now the oil hole that unlocks the lifter is lined up with the main oil gallery and was being unlocked as soon as the oil pressure came up. I then called MIke back and Told him what I found, I said I don't want anything I just wanted to tell you what had happened, Mike then just wanted to argue about it, no sorry nothing. So I dicided to write this review. I wouldn't take my bicycle to them to have it repaired mainly because Mike can not take any responsibility for their mistake.
