Your food was a hit - an enormous hit - everyone talked about it so, and we let everyone know that you also catered the evening event - which they loved!! What a sweet table, and the hors d-oeuvres (and food station) were delicious and very plentiful - thank you!

The lunches were excellent, and nobody could believe the quantities you served. The speech you put together for Jeremy, and your smooth running of everything, was fantastic. You clearly have built quite a business, because it shows in your staff. Everyone, both at the hall and here, were so polite and extremely professional at all times. They represented you so well!

I called your Event Centre at about 6.15pm this evening to find ot about dates available in October for my School Alumni your receptionist advised me there was none but had a date in the latter part of August, I then asked if there was a West Indian menu available of which she said yes I then asked what was the cost , she replied $85.00 pp and up. I then said we went to Peter & Paul and it was much less her reply to me was them you should go to Peter & Paul not sure if thats the way you conduct business in your Event Centre. For the record I am also in the hospitality Industry as a Director of Operations for a hotel chain here in Toronto.

The food here is fantastic. We had the West Indian menu for our wedding and the portion sizes were absolutely huge! Even more than the portion sizes, people could not stop raving about how delicious it was. Over 100 Trinidadians and not a single complaint! Trinis love to complain about food!
Marla is up front with all the costs. No hidden fees or extra charges for every little thing.
Lida was great on the day for keeping everything organized and making sure we were comfortable. We never had to tell her to do anything.
Overall, this is a great venue with phenomenal food. Many of our guests, who are also big foodies like us, have told us that our wedding had the best wedding food they have ever had :)

When we told Marla that we wanted our wedding in our home and a bar-que, she made it happen! With meticulous planning it went off beautifully. Her staff Angela, Shawn, Uri and Elma and chefs Chi and of course Honey the evening flowed. Before we thought of something, it was done. They work so well together. And the food was amazing, of course. It was a fun party!

We had our wedding at The Avenue and all our wishes materialized. Everything which was promised to us was delivered. Marla Kay, the owner, was able to blend two diverse cultures into one great event. She orchestrated our ceremony and provided us with a food menu to please both cultures. The food was presented in a spectacular fashion and tasted great. The staff was amazing.

had our wedding there last yea ... we had around 150 people...
food was amazing... we had the european style where the food was all on the table but the guests were full by the time the main course was served...they still kept eating because the food was so good... marla and her husband gave us all the contacts we needed dj (emil @ http://www.partycrew.ca/)

all were amazing and the dj completely transformed the banquet hall into our dream with their lighting (made a huge differance ... took the room from a 9 to an 11/10)
music was awesome blended our different nationalities while kept the young crowd entertained and dancing well into the night ...
we had no stress and hassels despite having somewhat of a shotgun wedding...
the bar area was amazing for people to hang out and talk while the party still happened inside and we had two bar tenders provided to us who were quickly making our guests drinks as opposed to many wedding ive been to where one would wait for drinks
i would absolutely recommend this place to anyone and everyone we truely had an amzing time...

Marla Kay is one of a kind. Over 13 months of planning and Marla made the process go smoothly and the day of the event was flawless. I was a guest at my own wedding. I cannot thank you enough for everything that you did to make our Bar Mitzvah a huge success. Marla, you were absolutely wonderful to work with and I appreciated all your help and assistance as we went along in the planning of our son's Bar Mitzvah. As this was our first time planning anything of this magnitude, I wasn't always sure what needed to be done and you were always there to assist me and provide me with guidance. I cannot tell you how valuable this was to me.

I would also like to give a huge "thank you" to Nathan for providing a fantastic meal which all our guests have not stopped raving about! You can definitely tell he takes pride in what he does and he does it so very well!!!

I would also like to thank Lida for taking such wonderful care of us on the "big day". She was so efficient and ready to do whatever we needed and always with a smile!

Our Bar Mitzvah went off without a hitch and that was in part to the wonderful service provided by you and your staff from beginning to end.
