We pride ourselves in our selection and service. Come visit us! Our store is clean, bright, and comfortable to be in. <p> We accept books on trade. Bring in any books you have (except encyclopedias, National Geographic magazines, Reader's Digest condensed books, Harlequins or Silhouettes, etc). We'll give you store credit for those that we select. If you don't want back the books we didn't select, we can take them to a local independent thrift shop (NOT Goodwill, Value Village or other for-profit thrift stores) <p> We will consider paying cash for your books. We however try to persuade you to take store credit instead, because when we look at your books on a cash basis only, we are more selective and will likely take fewer books. On a credit basis on the other hand, we tend to be somewhat less selective, and we are more readily prepared to take a chance on some books that we would not consider if we were to pay cash for them. <p> We have nearly 20 years direct experience in the book selling/buying industry. We have dealt with antiques, vintage, rare and important works, topical collections, estates, auctions, personal libraries, as well as ephemera and book related curioddities. <p> The Book Store is conveniently located in the fastest growing hub in Barrie's south end, just 5 minutes or less from Hwy 400 (Mapleview Dr. turnoff). <p> Call us at , or email us at thebookstorebarrie@yahoo.com. This is by far the best book store in Barrie! They always have very interesting, old out of print rare books.

What a nice comfortable store. Lots of room to move, no clutter, spacious. Very clean too. The people are friendly and quite knowledgeable. They also display art by local artists. This store will be a regular for me.
