These people are liars - they don't keep to their word. They promised me on the phone one price and once there they change the story.

This place is a joke. They can't even change a lightbulb without doing damage to your car. Took 3 trips to the shop just to diagnose a starter..oh and I told them that's what it was on my first trip there.
Very unknowledgeable staff. they should be embarrassed. One time they gave me a gift card from Bubbles Car Wash which you may think is a nice gesture...until I got to Bubbles only to find out they wouldn't honour it because I was told Southtown Hyundai hadn't paid their bill.Stay away from this place......for your cars sake! I wouldn't give them even 1 star but it seems you can't complete this review without giving them one.. Guess it's so they don't get the zero rating they deserve.

I took my car for recall repair they could not replace the part Kept my car for 2 days in lot I did pay for spring oil change 139 dollars, they broke the front cover stud of my engine cover holder never told me when I question they said they will replace it. I am not taking my car again there I got the recall part replaced at another dealership within few hours and they fixed my broken stud for FREE no cost.

My car had a factory recall. I made an appointment they took my car for all day. the part was never replaced they told me the part has to be ordered they don't know when the part would ARRIVE!. Took my car back gave them a business got oil changed paid over 140 dollars for regular oil. After a week my car broke down guess what the problem is the part which is on recall now i am stuck with out a car??? I shouldn't have made any appointment with them for the recall .I never had any problem in my car prior to that appointment drove the car for 7 years!

My experience with this dealership has been a nightmare. From rude and condescending behavior to outright lies and dishonesty. My 2011 Hyundai has been with them for over one week with a starting issue. It has been one story after the other and really no steps towards actually diagnosing or fixing the problem. Last they said was the car had a problem with the remote starter which was preventing the starting and blablabla. Said remote starter had to be removed and I had to pay for it. I told the manager Gary as much as I did not know about cars, it did not make any sense to me why the remote starter would suddenly be the problem after 5 years especially because Canadian tire had diagnosed another problem. Anyway I agreed to have the remote starter removed and Lo and behold The same problem is happening again. Save yourself the trouble and find a competent service provider for your Hyundai. Ignore this review and you will wish you had learned from my experience.

Southtown Hyundai service department has been steadily deteriorating since I bought my 2009 Sante Fe there 3 1/2 years ago. I begin work at 7 am but even though their service department opens at 7 their shuttle doesn't begin running until 8 am so that means I'm at least an hour and a half late for work whenever I have to go in for service. Add to that that the shuttle doesn't pick customers up downtown after 3 pm I pretty much have to take a day off work when I need to bring my car in for service.
Last weekend the ignition switch died in my car so I had to have it towed in for a warranty repair. That took 2 days and then I had to fight with the service manager to get someone to come downtown after 3 pm to pick me up so I could get to the dealership to pick up the car. I was told b y the service advisor that I was lucky to have gotten my car fixed because I didn't have an appointment so I should be grateful that they were able to get it in and fixed. AFter all I was the one who had it towed in there without an appointment!! Imagine not making an appointment for an unexpected emergency equipment failure - guess I should plan these unexpected equipment failures better so I can make a proper service appointment. Then she and the service manager both told me I should take public transit to the south side where the shuttle would pick me up and take me to the dealership to get my car. What kind of customer service is that?
I raised enough of a ruckus that they finally did send the shuttle to pick me downtown at 3:30 pm and guess what - it only took us 20 minutes to get to the dealership!!
I bought the lifetime oil change package when I bought the car so if another dealership will honor that, I will not be going back to Southtown and will be telling everyone I know to avoid them like the plague!!

The home of the three hour oil change. Frustrating to bring your car in with the estimate of a one hour wait only to note the car has not moved into the service bay until 1.5 hours after scheduled appt. I was told service would take 1 hour - took three hours.
