He graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Education degree in 1975. For 10 years, Mr. Gagnon worked as a teacher with the Edmonton Public School Board teaching a variety of subjects to junior high students. Mr. Gagnon also obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in French from Laval University in Quebec City. <p> Mr. Gagnon attended law school at McGill University in Montreal, and at the University of Victoria.
