They helped renovate our unfinished basement and it took them a matter of 3 weeks. The work was very clean and precise in terms of detail. The project manager and his crew would always fill me in on what’s going on each day and what needed to be completed. We were looking for a waterproofed basement after the flood of late last winter. Lucky to have found Penguin who gave a great quote for basement renovations and waterproofing. They got rid of the moldy walls and flooring and mounted new ones and reinforced potential leaky areas. In the end, we loved the results and we're confident we can survive heavy storms. We finally converted our basement to a rental apartment this spring (something we should have done years ago) and Penguin was our start-to-finish consulting and installation team. This isn't just reno work. It includes engineering, approvals, safety and a raft of other considerations. In every capacity they were informed and prepared. Penguin did some waterproofing and structural work in the fall before proceeding with the main reno work. It's been a lengthy process but has been done on schedule. We were kept appraised of extra work needed and got to eyeball items of concern such as foundation cracks before OK'ing everything. I had a water tank leak that destroyed my basement. I was devastated thinking of all the money I will need to spend on fixing my problem. A friend recommended Penguin Basements, so I decided to contact them. After getting a free inspection, I was offered a quote that I thought was fair, but not affordable at the moment.
