We are a group of licensed psychologists and psychotherapists. We offer a full range of services, such as psychological and psycho-educational assessments, consultations to parents and teachers, family and marriage counseling, and psychotherapy for adults, children and adolescents.

Our family physician Dr. Alona Kuzmina recommended Dr. Shenfield, but when we learned that she has a wait-list of 8 months we decided to go elsewhere. Our mistake! Luckily, we stayed on the wait-list. We tried two other child psychologists, one in Newmarket and another in Thornhill, and there was no improvement whatsoever. When we finally got a call from Dr. Shenfield's office we were unsure whether to go, but decided to try. After the first few sessions we could already see a modest improvement, our son's anxiety subsided. Now, four months later, the improvement is quite amazing, he has changed quite a bit. I hope that in two months we will be able to complete the therapy, as we exhausted our benefits and now paying out of pocket. It's actually quite ridiculous that psychologists aren't covered by OHIP!

My 9 y.o. son Mark had serious anger issues and we were requested by his school to go to a therapist. Dr. Shenfield is using Play Therapy with him and after 6 weeks of therapy we can clearly see a big improvement. His anger issues are almost under control and his teacher is amazed at the improvement. Our insurance will cover therapy sessions for another 4 weeks, but we are ready to pay as long as it is needed.
