I was in Burnaby visiting my son, daughter-in-law and new grand daughter, when I experienced incredible tooth pain. I am visiting from Oakville, Ontario and we were all to leave for New Zealand the same day. My son called the dental office & I was fit in with Dr. Benny Yee and his knowledgeable assistant, Leslie. They were caring, efficient and took care of my cracked tooth. Dr. Yee explained my options and even rebooked another patient so that he could handle my case. Leslie followed up with my instructions on post operative care while I was away. I have another appointment on my return, and I am considering getting my dental implant done with Dr. Yee because of his professionalism and care. His entire office staff made me feel welcome and I will return for his (& entire team) care on my next visit!

After changing my dentists for the past few years, I can say that I finally find my dentist/dental center.
I have a problem with one of my teeth for the past 10 years and none of my previous dentist could help me with that. The last one was forcing me to do crown it to fix it!
Dr. Yee, fixed that problem in 5 minutes! It just needed some polish to be flat and smoothed out.
He also refilled three of my previous silver fillings and so far (Until now that I am writing this review), everything is great.
They also offer a 20% reduction for their prices to the SFU graduate students, which makes my expenses going out from my pocket close to nothing!
My only suggestion for them, would be about y experience with Dr. Yee's assistant at the time I went there. She was very nice, but quite slow!
Highly recommended.

Dr. Sahota is a great dentist, as she speaks to you and informs you of what she intends on doing,why shes doing it etc. instead of simply addressing her assistant. The dental hygienist was very professional albeit he was very preachy. Front desk staff are kind, however seem focused on payment and not willing to go the extra mile. It doesnt take much to look up whether insurance covers extractions/specialists etc. People have insurance so they dont have to pay up front. Regardless of these minor details, Dr Sahota's efficient, professional and personable service earned them a return patient.

Dr.Yee is my dentist now for about 8 years, and I will never change him with anyone else! Excellence is the only word that describes the work of Dr.Yee and all other doctors of this office. Besides that Dr.Yee as well as all other members of this office are very caring and accommodating people. Once I had emergency treatment to be done on weekend I called and Dr.Yee came to office and helped. I never forget! You are the best doctor. All what I can say thank you so much, and I'm looking forward to have you as my dentist further!

I have been visiting this doctor for many years now, and although I find the whole process of having my mouth open for an extended period of time very difficult and uncomfortable, I've always had excellent service from them. They have also been sensitive to budgets and working within insurance constraints to minimize out-of-the-pocket expenses. He now has a very busy practice, so that should say something.

Everyone was very helpful and efficient at Simon Fraser Dental. The administration was clear and professional, and the dentist explained everything well. Teddy the hygienist was awesome, very friendly and informative. He explained my options honestly and did a great job cleaning my teeth. Thanks!

I had a cavity caused by my wisdom tooth. My previous dentist tried twice but still couldn't fix it. He suggested me to do a gum cutting surgery before he can fill that cavity. During his treatment, I can tell he was not that confident with what he was doing and even mistakes happened. So I didn't trust his final suggestion.
I decided try another dental office to see whether I can meet a more experienced dentist. And yes, I met Dr. Yee in Simon Fraser dental office. He knew exactly what he was doing and very confident. With the help of the camera in the microscope, I can see the entire procedure and the doctor's explanation make me feel very comfortable. The X-ray showed the filling was perfect. I am so happy that this cavity has been filled after almost two years .

Everyone at the office is friendly, especially the hygienists. Front desk is helpful but, like the dentist, really wants to get you in and out quick. I have to ask "why" and "please explain" questions. A few years ago the service wasn't as good.

They were very knowledgeable. Dr. Yee even went so far as to help me fix problems unrelated to my jaw, such as my fainting problem. I was extremely impressed- I was spoken to in a way that I could understand and like an adult. It was a really lovely experience, and everyone there was extremely nice to me.

I was SUPER impressed with the service from everyone at the office. Not only did I get in the same day/right away (due to a bit of a dental emergency - losing a front tooth), but Dr. Yee was extremely informative and gentle which for me was a big thing. Not having the greatest experiences at previous dentists in the past, I felt much better about this.
