How amazed I was when I woke up on Sunday morning and my car wouldn't start! I had gas in the car and It was working fine the day before. I figured I would need to tow it to my mechanic to get it looked at, however my mechanic doesn't offer towing service and I had no clue which company to used.

So I went online and found Road Runner Towing in Toronto. It has a lot of great reviews and it seemed like a legit option. I called and some lady picked up and asked a few questions about the type of car I drove and where I was located. From the time she hung up on me, within 10 minutes, a tow truck driver was pulling up my street from Road Runner Towing. He said his name was Shared or something, but he was very nice and was professional.

Instead of hooking my vehicle up to his tow truck right away, he tried to start my car and listened as it chugged for a bit. Based on the sound it was making, he told me that my battery was dead and all he needed t do was boost it. I didn't know he came prepared! And was already boosting my car - within 5 minutes my car was running. He suggested I leave it running so the battery can recharge. He was very honest and charged me a lot less than what I was quoted for since I didn't actually need a tow and only needed a basic boost. He was polite and friendly and gave me his number in case I needed towing service again in the future.

I always here bad stories of towing truck companies scamming you when you call. They arrive late, they eat up your time and money and start charging you for services you may not need. When I spoke about this to my friends one of my friends mentioned she needed to have her tire changed since it was a flat and another towing company charged her for a distance tow when all she needed was someone to help her change her flat. On top of that, he didn't even tow her to her mechanic, but toed her to another body shop that was somehow a sister company of their towing company.

Road Runner was not like this and was honest from the get go. The moment you tell them what you need, they bring out a technician and they technician doesn't just mindlessly tow your vehicle away but actually checks to see if there's anything he can do prior to just towing you to a mechanic. I would recommend this service to anyone who needs emergency roadside assistance and the driver advise me they are available 24/7 - even on weekends and holidays. My idea is to save their number on my speed dial list so I don't have to search for them again.

I called road runner towing in the middle of the night since my car wouldn't start. I spoke with someone at their office and they said they would send out a driver right away. Ben arrived promptly and tried boosting my car. When they didn't work he towed my car to the mechanic I use. He was upfront about the cost and made me feel safe despite being stranded at night. I would use this company again.
