I had a very disappointing experience with Canadian Moving Systems Inc. during my move on July 29, 2025 from Regina to Montreal.

I paid for both moving and packing services, expecting professional handling of my belongings. Unfortunately, several items arrived damaged, including a new IKEA cupboard, a mirror, wooden furniture, and other household items. The condition of the boxes and furniture clearly shows poor handling and inadequate protection.

In addition, the service provided by the movers themselves was very unprofessional. The handling of items during loading and unloading was careless, and the overall level of service did not meet basic expectations for a professional moving company.

What is particularly concerning is that some items (including my couch, rug, and wooden furniture) were marked with black permanent marker during the move. This is not normal transportation damage and reflects a serious lack of professionalism.

Despite paying for packing services, some fragile items were only partially wrapped or insufficiently protected. For example, the mirror was not properly secured and arrived broken. Multiple boxes were also crushed, which suggests improper stacking or handling during transport.

I submitted a detailed complaint with photos and a claim form in August 2025. After several weeks, the company responded by relying solely on basic liability coverage (60¢ per pound) without addressing the evident issues of handling and packing quality.

I also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. The company maintained the same position and did not meaningfully address the concerns raised.

This experience shows a lack of care in handling customers’ belongings and a dismissive approach to legitimate claims. I would strongly recommend exercising caution before using this company. I hope the company will take responsibility and address this situation appropriately.
