In 2017 I had ordered 5 windows. The sales rep stated that the company commitment was 6 weeks from when the window measurements were confirmed to install. The company met that commitment, the installers were very good, and the windows are very good. So I was very confident with placing an order for 2 more windows this year. The sales rep presented how the green on program would save me money if I order the triple glaze windows, so I went with that.
Oh dear.
I placed the order at the end of April 2018, the measurements were confirmed the first week of May. The new Ontario government cancelled the green on program near the end of June. My windows were not installed until mid-October. Comfort King is blaming the provincial government for the delay.
So why do I rate them 1 star?
I find it hard to believe that the government caused my delivery and install window to go from 6 weeks to 24, especially when the program cancellation was announced 6 weeks after my window measurements were confirmed. I should have had them in about the time the announcement was made.
This strikes me as a case of overselling, then failing to manage the production and delivery issues that arose, and worst of all, absolutely failing to communicate with the customer, much less be proactive about it. It appears to me that my small window order was pushed to the back of the line repeatedly. I had to contact the company on multiple occasions to try and get some sort of delivery information, and generally none was forthcoming.
The sales representative and the installers were all very professional. The company management was not. As it stands I cannot see dealing with this company again, as something is very wrong with how they managed their manufacture and production process.

Ordered windows back in June. Found out delivery would be sometime in September but they installed them in October. OK by me. Windows were for the basement, to replace the original ones installed in 1973 when house was built. They were vinyl sliders with a high energy rating. Installation went like a charm. The installers turned up on time and did the job quickly. Very little mess left for me to clean up. I wanted to do the clean up to protect stuff in the basement. Windows look great!
