I recently had a tasting at this fantastic winery. I've enjoyed a fair bit of boutique wine from the region but this was my first visit to the Okanagan in person. We tasted at 6 wineries from Oliver down to Osoyoos; admittedly, it's a small sample of the 40ish wineries in the area but I certainly was struck by something intangible (or at least I can't put my finger on it) about River Stone. Most importantly, the quality of the wine was off the charts in my opinion. This was my first taste of their lineup. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable as one would expect from any of the vineyards in the area. My only complaint is it was the first stop of the day and I kept on hoping for another winery to stand out like this one did. If you find yourself anywhere near Oliver I highly recommend a quick trip to visit this winery.
