Guys, just be careful before renting a car from this company. Make sure you check all the damages and scratches before you jump in. I rented a Ford Mustang from thsi company and i had to put down $1000 for just Deposit which i was supposed to receive as an E-transfer after returning their car. The day i was supposed to return their car was on Valentines and i couldn’t leave Vancouver without enjoying the outside Cities like Whistler since i was with my Girlfriend , So i decided to extend my drop off time to 7pm and yet nobody is in the office that time. So, these guys asked me to park their car in the Hotel’s underground Parking and drop off the keys in the drop off box. i agreed to deduct $60 for the hours extend. During that day i also received a parking ticket of $46 which i knew for sure was going to be deducted from my deposit. Anyways, the crazy part is that after i dropped off their car as they asked!! The next day when i was back in Ottawa where i live, these people sent me my full E-transfer of $896 and they immediately cancelled it and sent me a text that after cleaning their car they found a scratch on the hood. To be honest, i don’t know how that happened but i had a video that was taken by my Girlfriend at the time we dropped it off. The Video shows no scratch on the car. so, these guys sent me a picture which i think was taken from previously just to frame it on me. i asked for the footage of me picking up and dropping off the car and they sent videos which i’m not included in. After all that nonsense, i got tired of rattling words back to back with them. i asked, since i paid the Loss damage waiver could you please deal with the insurance to cover that? This is what this guy explained to me

“ Hi Eric, we know you did not scratch the car on purpose - you may not even know how it happened but the scratch apparently happened when the car was in your possession. We have showed you the video from 10 minutes before you rented the car and the previous customer’s inspection report to clarify this.

Insurance covers damages over $2000; please refer to your rental agreement. This means the maximum you pay even in a write-off collision would be only $2000.

The cheapest quote we were able to get to paint the hood was $450.

$444 has been refunded to your after deducting the following charges:
Late drop off: $60
Vancouver parking ticket: $46
Mustang hood paint charge: $450”

Rented a brand new Honda Accord for a good price . Had an amazing experience and they also gave us a free ride to the airport. When we come back to Vancouver will definitely rent from vancity car rentals.

Very helpful staff and organization. We had some issues with our credit card but the staff were extremely understanding and helped us sort it out as they are pretty much the only place in Vancouver ,BC that rents vehicles without a credit card. The vehicle we rented was amazing. They even offered us free coffee all that we were there trying to figure out what was wrong with our credit card. They really care about their customers. Would HIGHLY recommend and use if we visit Vancouver again. Cheers keep up the good work!

We had a very good experience with Vancity car rental.amazing customer service and their price was cheaper compare to any other car rentals in Vancouver.after we returned the car they gave us a ride to the airport.will recommend this company to anyone.

This place has no customer service! I rented a vehicle and when I went to pick it up, there were none available. The representative was completely useless and couldn't even be bothered to call and let me know! Go somewhere reputable, not here! Can't even be guaranteed that the car you reserved will be there.

I was charged $35 per day ($140 over the term of my rental) as a "convenience" fee for using my debit card to secure the rental. This, over and above the regular rental charges, taxes and levies. This fee is not disclosed on their website and was not mentioned to me when I made the reservation and confirmed debit card use. The fee is not even identified on the rental contract. I had to point it out before they explained what it was. With no other options immediately available to me I accepted the rental and am now disputing the $140 fee.

I have rented from this company many times and always find the staff really helpful and polite. It takes no longer than 5 minutes to complete the rental transaction and you are kept fully updated on what is going on. The staff are always on hand to do a walk around of the vehicles with you to ensure the car is not damaged in any way.

This is one of the best car rental companies i have used and i will continue to use them in the future and have also recommended them to all my friends and family.
