I pay $120 for unlimited classes and they still charge me a late fee for missing a class. Maddie Anderson sucks. Guess yoga is more important than dealing with a car accident

I have been going to Powerlife for about 7 or 8 years. I really enjoy most of the classes and there are some wonderful instructors. I have voiced my one concern many times to the studio, to individual teachers and in writing to the corporate office. My one complaint, and it applies across the board to all their studios as I hop around due to my schedule. It applies to their sculpt, fit, and barre classes. The music is too darn load and then the instructors wear headset microphones which sounds like you’re ordering at a fast food restaurant. Their voices are distorted and the music and instructions cancel each other out. You spend a lot of time twisting and turning to see the teacher so you can see what you’re doing. Many times, the rooms are so small there is no need for a microphone at all.

My Apple Watch has hearing protection on it and it is constantly showing that sound levels are at an unsafe level which could cause hearing damage. I wear earplugs and still find the noise excessive. Please be considerate of your patrons hearing.

I can’t say enough great things about Powerlifeyoga!!!! I have been a member here for eight years and I plan on being a member for eight more and then some!! Truly the best place to work out at in the Des Moines area!!

The staff members, the managers, are absolutely fantastic!! I have developed a stronger sense of myself and I look forward to being present on my mat each day. They really get to know you as a person and I sincerely appreciate each one of them.

This is definitely worth checking out if you are considering a yoga studio or a place to work out at. There is something for everyone and that is what I love about this place. I can do power sculpt one day and do more of a relaxing, but challenging class the next day.

Joining Power Life has been the best thing for me! My body has been through a lot over the years with CrossFit & competing in swimming & running so I needed a change. Thankful to my doc for the recommendation because the heat & all the different class options ended up being exactly what I needed! I feel like I'm getting a GREAT workout without stressing out my body & mind. Thanks PL!

Power Life has been an amazing experience for me. I have enjoyed all of the teachers and the attention they pay to the students. The staff overall is warm and encouraging. Mary D and Alyssa F, stand out as my favorites so far. They both took extra time to fully explain the postures and patiently correct them as they saw the need. The vibe at Power Life has been so encouraging that it is usually the highlight of my day and I look forward to coming back. I am now regularly attending classes about 6 days a week across all of the studios, but mostly Johnston since it's the closest to my house. Everything has been so encouraging that I am feeling compelled to enroll in the teacher training classes to become certified to teach and hopefully eventually be able to grow more in the Power Life family. I only moved to Iowa about a month ago and I have been attending Power Life for 3 weeks now and I feel very at home there.
