Use this firm if you don't mind if they are aware if their clients are dead or alive. My dear mother who passed last August had a long standing relationship with this firm. I was planning to honor that relationship and have her final estate taxes handled by this firm. I called and spoke to her accountant in October to let him know of her passing and we had a discussion regarding some questions I had around her estate. He advised me I could mail her documents as I lived out of town. I called the office the first week of January to remind them that I was handling Mom's taxes and to please mail me the client packet. A couple weeks following that phone call I received a letter addressed to my Mom " Dear xxxx, we hope this letter finds you well," and it went on to note that her accountant was retiring and the work would be transitioning. I returned their letter to them in January with a note expressing my discontent around this oversight with a long standing client. I never heard back from them.

Errors on my 2012 and 2013 returns. They wouldn't return my fee that I paid for the 2013 because I did my own 2015 return(because of the errors and they don't stand behind their work). Can't wait to see what turns up on my 2014 return. If they make a mistake it's your problem, not theirs.
