If I could rate this place 0 stars I would, They informed me I was told I’d be able to get a storage for a summer toys no problem, after taking said toy out of the storage which I am indeed paying for, the employees proceed to inform that my truck which I drove to the location in, can’t be left on the premises,

“So I asked how in the world am I supposed to take 2 vehicles home at once. “(They know what’s in the unit for insurance purposes)

“They proceed to tell me it’s customer parking”

So storage mart what is your definition on customer?

there is NOT a single sign stating overnight parking is not permitted

Extremely disappointed
Car enthusiasts be aware!

I chose Storage Mart because of Emily and Patrick going above and beyond what was required to take care of my needs. They gave me incredible advice service and welcomed me in the kindest ways. It was not an easy transition for me and they made it so affordable. and hassle free all I had to do was make my payment and show up to my unit. I highly recommend this company. My experience with Storage Mart at Morrow Rd. Barrie ont. Is very pleasant. I give my 5 stars to Shaun, the store manager. He is always friendly & helpful. 2 of many more great qualities. My one concern is how often rates go up on both my units. Every 7-8 months. I am in my 70's and only receiving my Old Age Pension. The pricing is becoming very expensive. It is the only drawback. I've been with Storage Mart for over 12 years. I hope to keep my units for years to come.

StorageMart Barrie has a convenient location close to the highway and the facility itself is clean and well maintained. However, the pricing structure is extremely disappointing.

After being laid off, I moved my entire apartment into one of their units. The “free month” promotion ended up being useless in my situation as I ended up paying for a month while my belongings were still on a truck crossing the country, so I wasn’t even able to use the unit during that time.

When I first moved in, my rate was around $160 per month. By the time I moved out, that same unit had increased to $500 per month. Meanwhile, the exact same unit is currently listed online for $280 without any discount and $160 with the new customer promotion. I was told the $280 rate only applies to new customers. Clearly, there is little regard for existing customers.

Rate increases seem to happen every 6 to 8 months, and some increases have been over $100 at a time. It feels unfair to continuously raise prices on loyal customers while advertising much lower rates to attract new ones.

Because of the constant and significant price increases, I would not recommend this location. I strongly suggest looking at other storage companies that offer more stable and transparent pricing.

Edit: For those wondering, I moved my stuff to a storage unit with more transparency and stable pricing.

I dealt mostly with Olena, who is the most knowledgeable and kind staff who makes sure to go above and beyond to help you find the perfect unit. I had a great experience with the storagemart staff (Morrow Road location, Barrie, Ontario). I had rented a large unit there and was looking for options to save some money. Staff were not only helpful in answering questions but made positive suggestions as to what I could do. We had the pleasure of doing business with the Storage Mart storage facility in Barrie on Morrow Road (Essa/ Ardagh area) and I can’t say enough positive things about what a great experience it was and how well-run it is. I dealt primarily with Olena and what a nice person she is. So friendly and helpful. She went out of her way to help and explain everything. Shaun was great as well. Very clean facility too. Amazing experience as first time storage renters. My friend Zach and I decided to split on a storage unit, and we originally had booked one online for a special deal. When we got in, Olena was amazing and bright. She even told us a bigger unit had just went on special after we had booked ours, and it was bigger AND cheaper! She was a pleasure to work with, despite her set backs (shes recovering from a bike fall!! Strong woman!) she still delivered exceptional customer service, and did it all with a smile. Rented a large unit with outdoor access at this location. The unit was clean, dry and secure. I rented for approximately 1 1/2 years. I always received great service from the staff when I had reason to go into the office. I would rent from them again should the need arise.
