An extra star because the staff are great and very helpful! However, this location nearly tripled the cost of my unit over the course of a year.

I signed on for around $80/mo to begin with, and 1 month free as part of a promotion. They increased the rental rate to $120/mo after the first few months without warning (as they are allowed to do per the contract), which I figured was fair because $80/mo was a steal. But by the time I finally moved all my stuff out and terminated my contract, they were billing me nearly $230/mo! Insane.

I switched to a storage business a bit further outside of the city and currently have double the space for half the price. The rates haven't increased since I got it 4 months ago and they offer discounts for paying a full year instead of monthly - I'd recommend you do the same.

I’ve been with StorageMart since 2019, and I can’t say enough good things about Kevin and his team. What started as a temporary solution after my divorce turned into a long-term arrangement that saw me through the pandemic and a major downsizing. Through it all, the staff remained consistently friendly, helpful, and professional.

The location itself is incredibly convenient and accessible—I always felt at ease knowing I could come and go as needed without any hassle. Whether I was storing a whole apartment’s worth of belongings or just a few essentials, I always felt my items were safe and secure.

Now that I’ve moved into a larger place with a garage, I no longer need the extra storage, but I genuinely recommend this location to anyone in need of clean, reliable, and well-managed storage. I had an absolutely awesome experience at storage mart on Halsted in Chicago. Cory specifically was unbelievably helpful , friendly and accommodating. After 4 years at storage mart, I am moving cities and cory made my move out around the holidays so pleasant and easy. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Sad to be leaving but if I am ever back I know exactly where I’ll be storing my things.

I've had a pretty good and overall pleasant experience with storing my items at this StorageMart location. The staff are always willing to answer any questions I have, and they are very friendly and accommodating, especially the assistant manager Prasad. The unit itself is clean and I've never had any problems with my items being stored there. The one thing I would recommend is for the location to improve their pavements as sometimes there are deep pot holes that make it challenging to drive over to get to your unit. Other than that, I've had a really good experience overall with this StorageMart. One thing I would advise others to be aware of is that the prices do go up each year for your storage rental, sometimes a significant amount. If you try to speak with the front staff, they'll help you if you want a reduced insurance amount or have any questions or concerns about this, but ultimately the price changes is not something they set or are able to change. Anyway, I would recommend this place if you're looking for somewhere clean and helpful to store your items!

Decent storage space and facilities, but very bait & switch with their pricing - they get you with a low promo rate which then (according to the lease contract) will increase some 30-40% within your first 4-6 months, and then you'll see annual increases as well, every 10-12 months from there.

I had a great experience over the phone to lease my unit. They answered all of my questions with ease, informed me of their insurance policy, and how much each month would be after the promos right down to the cent after taxes.

In store, it is air conditined, clean and tidy. They offered me water also answered all of my questions. They showed me the locks I could purchase and gave me my pass code.

My experience overall was great! Especially with the pricing and promos.

It was such a smooth process! Kevin and Prasad were very helpful, informative, and friendly. I spoke with Kevin over the phone and via email, I've had a lot of questions, and he answered them very thoroughly! I've decided to get the storage, start the process and signed online. Checking-in, in-person was another smooth process, Prasad helped me with setting up what was necessary to access the storage and same day I moved some of my belongings. The facility was clean, good space, easy to get to, and didn't feel like a scary place 😆. With good prices for the storage, good space, and friendly staff, what more could you ask for?
