If I could give 0 stars I would. Truist has been nothing but a pain since opening an account with them. Just recently, they dropped the ball and allowed someone to drain my wife’s savings account (stealing thousands of dollars). We filed a claim to get a reimbursement, and Truist denied it stating that they couldn’t confirm nor deny that she authorized the charges. This is a completely unacceptable result. We filed an appeal but were told to “not get our hopes up.” If you’re looking for a bank, DON’T BANK WITH TRUIST. They will literally allow you to be robbed and won’t even care enough to reimburse you.

I had a very disappointing experience at Truist Bank yesterday. I went in with my father-in-law’s debit card to get change for our business that we both currently own at the Town Center. My father-in-law is disabled and remained in the car while I handled it for him.

Instead of being treated with basic courtesy, I was made to feel like I was doing something criminal. I waited around 15 minutes while employees trained someone on the computer in front of me, only to ultimately be refused help. The overall experience felt dismissive and unnecessarily difficult.

After leaving, I went to Chase Bank, where the staff was incredibly polite, professional, and helpful, even though I don’t even have an account there. The contrast in customer service was night and day.

Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend Chase over Truist if you value respectful and efficient customer service. These people are extremely rude and unhelpful and do not value customer service

Every time I come into this location: Issa, Evan, and Maggie greet me with a smile and ask how my day is going. They’re always so sweet and genuinely make my day better. They’re super helpful and get things done quickly every time. Really appreciate you all!

We had asked for a $12 fee to be waived one time, since we were only below the $500 limit for a couple days. Not waiving the fee is fine, but telling my wife she has to have her passport as her ID because that’s what the account was set up under was strange, asking about her green card status before explaining to us why she got the fee like we didn’t understand is why I am giving the low review. I understand banks have to be compliant with immigration laws, but there is no regulation saying someone must have a green card to have a checking account.
