Just the facts: It is wonderful to get our taxes done by this firm and then receive letters from the various towns/cities that you pay taxes to and say that you owe taxes and interest and late fees because the firm you paid never sent the tax returns in. Then you call many times and the firm never responds to your phone calls asking for help in what to do. Like all the others have said this is a terrible place to get your taxes done if you want them done right do not go here. Beware of this place and there are many other places for better service. This firm is awful.

I attended multiple scheduled meetings gave this guy all my information 400 dollars. He didn't file any of my taxes. He was completely negligent and my family has been treading water trying to survive after covid not receiving any benefits as my taxes were incomplete. Glad to have had to pay someone else to fix them. Hopefully see restitution of some sort. Chart advisors is a rip off and a safety concern for information as he just takes all your info and money but does nothing. I'm specifically talking about the owner leland proshek. Couldn't even refund after negligence.

Went to Chart advisors due to another tax preparer retiring. The first 2 years were great because the main tax prep person did not do the taxes and the assistant did. Our taxes were done on time. Miriam the assistant then quit. Then it was up to the owner to do the taxes. Miriam was the best thing to happen to the office. After Miriam left our taxes took longer and longer to get done. Finally I had to call and say that we were going to another tax preparer and asked why ours were getting done later and later? Doesn't loyalty matter? The secretary said "Oh yea, you have been here for awhile!" So then the next year the taxes were done promptly. This year was a complete disappointment. I thought loyalty meant something but I guess not. I got the materials there by mid February and it was finally by the beginning of April before the taxes were done. They were done after numerous calls begging to please do the taxes as it is quickly approaching April 15th. I got the "Oh yes, we are closing the doors and not letting any people come in so that we can do the drop off and portal taxes!!" I say, "Can you get them done this weekend?" Secretary says sure!! Another 2 weeks and they still were not done. Called the owner up again begging to do the taxes. Once they were done part of them was wrong. I called and begged to correct the forms so that we will not face late fees and penalties. After the first call there was absolutely 0 correspondence with owner saying they were coming or telling me to get lost. Sad thing, we paid for the taxes to be correct and they were not. The most troubling thing is that my son started paying taxes and his taxes were messed up too. He wondered why we have to pay late fees and i told him because of our tax preparer. Several more phone calls were made. They have caller ID so once they see your phone number they can "dodge" your phone call. All I wanted was the returns corrected. Very disappointing!!! Did not seem like we mattered at all. Maybe we were not the big money client. Sad

I will not be returning. I dropped my singular W2 off for taxes to be filed about week and a half before tax day. They filed an extension, and took close to another month to get them done. I visited 2 separate times checking up on the status of my return and was met with “documents are being prepared” as well as the advisor not being present in office both of those times i went for an update. When i told them i want a date they will be done by, the completion date they gave me was blown past and finally done the following week. I understand I'm not the only customer nor the only work that they need to get done or should come before those before me. But that type of service is unacceptable and unprofessional. They do not treat your business, time, or money (was charged quite steeply) with respect. My business should not have taken over a month, especially with in the hands of a a “professional.” Please go elsewhere and trust someone else with your needs.

I don't know what the other reviews are describing but it isn't what I experienced when working with Chartr Advisors. I too, was referred by someone that retired. We always get quick return call. Leyland figures out what filling status is best for our family. Takes time explaining new tax laws and is always professional. When he can't return our calls right away the lady in the office will contact us. (sorry I do not remember her name)
