Really disappointed that this company will not do their part to help Canada. I buy very little here now because their fruit and vegetables are mostly from the US. This summer they have only had US grapes, when Mexico and South America has them readily available. COME ON, PEOPLE, YOU CAN YOU BETTER. STOP THINKING ONLY ABOUT PROFITS AND DO YOUR PART TO HELP OUR COUNTRY. Customers, you can also do your part and buy elsewhere until they wise up and buy Canadian.

When you see this from the outside, does the second floor with all the chairs and tables look like a restricted area?..
Walked in there with the kids, bought a bunch of food and went upstairs to see “employees only”.
Then had to leave and eat in the car.
Think through the design a bit better next time..

The store, the staff all great. But I have been shopping here for the past year more regularly, making the trip from Ste. Adele, just for the experience. But I have to say, it started with the produce. I kept coming home with rotten produce. Berries, Lettuce, it was very frequent. So I stopped buying my produce there.
Then this week I went there specifically for buns. We like the ACE bakery brioche buns and Snowdon bakery rye bread. Came home and they both had mold on them after one day.
Im done. Im not driving all the way back to exchange and go through that hassle.
I hope things change.

This Provigo is in Saint Sauveur, in the Laurentians mountains, about 45 minutes north of Montreal. I essentially know it as a ski resort town with a permanent population of about 21k. This store has a surprisingly sophisticated international food section, with relatively hard to find items like sumac, lychee, and Gochujiang, a Korean fermented bean paste.
UPDATE: Provigo is part of the Loblaw's chain is T&T, the specialty Asian Superstore. This Provigo also stocks some Asian T&T produce. Therefore, this Provigo's international food section rivals anything in the big city.

One of the nicest supermarkets I've shopped at is the Provigo is Saint Sauveur Quebec. The supermarket has many boutique like departments that are too many to list: florist, fish monger, sushi chef, butcher, local produce area, wine and beer, ready to eat, heat and service meals, etc. this store is worth a trip if you are in the area.
