Great location for our visit to Mt. Rainier. Felt secure with card access required for exterior doors and elevators. Front desk staff was professional. Beds were very comfortable and the hotel felt new and well maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed our two nights there. Best hotel of the trip.

This was a great stay! We just had a quick turnaround for a night on the road, but the room was clean and comfortable. It looked up to date and new/fresh. The digital key system worked really well for this stay. Bed more comfortable than most. Will stay here again when back in Tacoma.

Rooms are nice, staff is professional, location is fine. Low on stars because their hot tub has been broken for a long time now. No answer was provided when I questioned what was going on about it and how long it would be until it was fixed.

Our family has stayed at Hampton Inn hotels across the country for years because of their consistently excellent customer service. Unfortunately, our experience with this location was very different.

We booked two rooms for my family in a single transaction through the Hilton app, but they were assigned separate confirmation numbers. When our travel plans changed nine days before our trip, Hampton Inn Tacoma treated them as two separate cancellations and charged us for both rooms. Hilton Corporate told me this was not the standard booking process and agreed that our situation warranted some flexibility. They attempted to work with the hotel to provide a partial refund, but the decision ultimately rested with the hotel, which chose to fully charge us for both rooms. We had planned to stay at another Hampton Inn in our new destination, but instead were charged the full cost of both rooms despite canceling nine days before our scheduled stay.

This experience was not consistent with the Hampton Inn brand we've come to trust. Because of how this situation was handled, we booked our new stay with a different hotel chain instead. Based on our experience, I would recommend considering another hotel in the area if responsive and flexible customer service is important to you.

We had a great stay at the Tacoma Hampton Inn. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our suite was comfortable, quiet, and well appointed. The breakfast was delicious with a changing type of omelet each day, two flavors of self made waffles (with whipped cream if desired), sausage, fried potatoes, yogurt, multiple flavors of muffins, fresh fruit, cereal, juice, coffee, and milk. Parking was free and plentiful. Highly recommended.
