**Very disappointed with Edgehomes and the lack of accountability**

Our experience with Edgehomes has been extremely disappointing. The biggest issue has been the lack of accountability, communication, and quality control when serious problems have been brought to their attention.

During construction, an aerosol can was left inside one of our walls. It was nearly nicked by a power tool, which could have potentially resulted in a serious fire or explosion. When we brought this safety concern to Edgehomes' attention, there was no meaningful response or action taken.

We also discovered that gravel had been dumped into the toilet drain in our basement bathroom. When we finally received a response, rather than taking responsibility for the issue, Edgehomes attempted to blame us and push the cost of the repair onto us. They eventually sent someone to clean out the drain, but we were still left paying $175 for a camera inspection of the drain.

These issues are especially concerning because they point to a lack of proper cleanup, inspection, and quality control during construction. We should not have to discover hazardous items left inside our walls or deal with construction debris in our plumbing.

Overall, we are very disappointed with the workmanship, communication, and especially the lack of accountability from Edgehomes. When something goes wrong, we expect a builder to investigate the issue, take responsibility when appropriate, and work with the homeowner toward a reasonable solution. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience.

My husband and I bought our Orlando floor plan in wildflower in July of 2025. We have been in our home exactly one year. It has been a great experience. We got the biggest bang for our buck with Edge Homes. The quality of the work is outstanding. The customer service team was very responsive and answered all of our questions in a timely manner. Family recommended Edge to us and we have recommended Edge to others. Thank you for our forever home.

Do NOT buy a home from Edge Homes.

This has been one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had. The customer service has been extremely disappointing, and it feels like they simply don't care about the quality of the homes they sell or the issues homeowners face after closing.

My brand-new home has had problem after problem. Instead of taking responsibility and fixing them, I keep getting excuses or my concerns are ignored altogether. I've spent countless hours documenting everything, taking photos, and providing all the information about the issues mentioned in this review and more, yet nothing gets resolved.

The grass is dying, and after they requested the streets to be paved, they left an excessive amount of loose gravel all over the roads. They told me to wait few months, that it will stick to the road, NO, it is still loose. It's dangerous to drive on (I'm very concerned this may cause a serious accident), constantly gets tracked onto driveways making them very dirty, and even the new asphalt is coming loose in some places. Despite raising these concerns and providing evidence, they refuse to take responsibility or address the issues.

I'm exhausted from constantly following up and being ignored. Buying a new home should be an exciting experience, not a constant battle just to have legitimate issues acknowledged. This has been a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT, and I would NOT recommend Edge Homes to anyone.

If i could give a negative star review i would. DO NOT BUY a new construction home by edge homes. We purchased a brand new build and moved in at the beginning of March. Since then, our drive way had to be completely torn out, water turned off for days, our garage has flooded twice, car scratched the entire side by a contractor, TWO sprinkler system leaks in our living room. These homes are extremely poorly constructed, and built way too fast to not have issues. The ONLY and i mean ONLY good thing about this experience has been how quickly they respond to emergencies.

I do not recommend building with Edge. Everything in our home was built extremely poorly and cheaply. We are in a single family, two-story home. We've had many issues with hvac, paint, house vibrations, noise transfer, etc.

For example, they touched up all the walls and doors with paints of different sheen and color, and after multiple complains, they just said "well, we can't repaint the whole house". There are also paint drips everywhere, and the paint in our stair railing is peeling off.

Several of our rooms don't cool off in the winter or warm up in the summer. The warranty guy told us to close all the other vents in the house to direct the airflow towards those rooms and called it good.

The house shakes so much, even basic walking will cause the kitchen island, cabinets, and doors throughout the whole house to rattle. Not to mention when the washer or dryer are running! Every door in the house will rattle, and the items inside the kitchen cabinets too.

Walls are curved, electric outlets and light switches are not level, there is paint from the baseboards on the floors, door trims were broken and just painted over, mirrors are scratched, etc.

And to top things off, the design experience was horrible! They pride on having a designer assigned to you to help you make all your choices. Well, when I told our "designer" I wanted wood cabinets, she replied "oh I love white kitchens! I can't help you". She was the most unhelpful person ever.

If you are looking for a quality builder, look elsewhere.
