Two different receptionists asked me questions that would fall under the umbrella of being ableist. I had thought anyone working with the public had to have sensitivity training, but I guess not.

I talked to someone else who had gone there about their experience; and was told a dental hygienist of the opposite gender, repeatedly throughout the appointment "complimented" their appearance and grooming habits as the previous patient was so gross it was making them gag.

On the website they claim they take "pride in making sure you’re as comfortable as possible for every appointment". I'm not sure why they think mocking patients, asking ableist questions and prying into people's personal lives follows that message.

Thorough & friendly treatment that is also perfectly professional. I also have a gnarly dentist-related allergy (diagnosed by allergist) and they have been wonderful about avoiding my allergen (which I can't say for every dentist I have seen).

Wonderful experience every time I go to Preston Dental Centre. Dr. Bain is very thorough and very diligent about explaining every part of the process. She is very deft and all procedures I’ve had thus far have entailed the absolute minimum in discomfort. Jen (hygienist) is my absolute favourite!! She does an incredible job and my dental health has improved leaps and bounds since working with her. Highly highly recommend both practitioners!!

I have been a client of Dr. Karen MacDonald since shortly after I moved to Ottawa in 1993, and I've always been very happy with her manner and her treatment. She was great with helping me through my back-to-school years when I needed fillings replaced, doing the ones that really needed to be done each visit, and telling me which ones could wait. She's honest, kind, and willing to work with you if your resources change.

I love the hygienist I work with, and she has helped me improve my oral health with better tools and techniques. She's also very understanding of my essential tremor and how it affects my jaw.

I was referred to a specialist for gum grafts, and the Doctor I saw was excellent. He knew his work, was very good at doing it, and was quick and thorough. I'd happily work with him again if the need arose.

All of the staff at Preston Dental Centre have been friendly and professional in the time I've been going there, and I would happily recommend them to anyone looking for a new dental centre.
