Our cashier was Luz. Absolutely horrible checkout experience. After the other employee ignored us, I started bagging my own groceries to keep things moving. The cashier then made continuous rude and snarky comments about me being “bossy,” saying I must be bossy at home and making an inappropriate comment that my husband’s card is “all he’s good for.”

Completely unnecessary, unprofessional, and disrespectful.

Tried Popeyes for the 1st time. Ordered thru their app. Order was complete when I arrived. Everything still warm. Chicken is good, pieces seemed smaller then KFC. Mashed potatoes are served in a large size with Cajun gravy on top. Size again is smaller then their competitors. Coleslaw is very good.A little bit Cajun flavored, but tasty. Gravy alone is peppery cajun. I'm glad I ordered on line because the drive thru had 10 cars or more in it.

I have to rewrite my review after my visit to this Stop & Shop today. Quick stop. Been with Stop & Shop since 1985. Staff were wandering around or standing around chatting. Some loyal staff were working. But only a few. No friendly greeting or "can I help you?" when I went through front doors. Had to use the Restroom first. OMG!! Toilets all filled with human feces and urine; every stall nearly had no toilet paper; warned another customer coming in, told her the one half usable stall. After living in Fairfield, bought a house in East Hampton. I stopped in the Cromwell store, about 3 times over a year and today's visit was the last. Walked round the entire store. All the Floors were dirty. Walked around to pick up a couple items. Products were on the floor or sitting on carts, waiting to be shelved or put away. The Manager must have not been there with just a couple people working. Never again. Never going to go there again. Don't want to risk getting Ebola, Hepatitis or Covid. And the worst part, being with this grocery for 30+ years, the same stuff I've bought over and over, everything I looked for the Used by dates, had 'Used by dates' that were long overdue. Don't know where things took a wrong turn. Had to say something.

Very nice Stop & Shop! Excellent assortment of seasonal flowers! Enjoy the delicious Starbucks in store!! That is a rare find for sure! The bakery was professional and skilled at their jobs. Also very pleasant. I will definitely be going back to this supermarket when I am down this way.

The store was generally well-stocked. The rest room area was located down a side corridor, a bit out of the way. We were hoping to find more gluten-free items in that area.
