I went to this pharmacy to ask for a cream for a small scar on my neck. I explained that I was looking for a product to help improve the scar's appearance. The pharmacist recommended vitamin E.

After purchasing it, I showed the product to a friend who is a nurse, who explained that vitamin E isn't the first-line treatment for scars and that silicone gel is generally recommended.

So I went back to the pharmacy to discuss it further. At first, they told me that vitamin E was suitable, but when I mentioned what the nurse had explained, the pharmacist finally admitted that silicone gel would indeed be more appropriate, but that it would have to be ordered since it wasn't in stock.

I would have appreciated being given this information from the start, before being sold a product that wasn't the best fit for my needs. I wasn't able to get a refund because I hadn't kept my receipt, which I understand. My comment mainly concerns the quality of the advice I received. I hope this will help better guide customers who are looking for a specific product for scars.

The store is a bit old-fashioned, but the staff are really helpful. They couldn't tell me what age you need to get the Thursday discount. Maybe displaying it would attract more customers that day?
