I am writing to share my experience at Concentra Urgent Care in Puyallup, Washington, where I went yesterday for a drug test, physical examination, and hair test.

I checked in at approximately 12:36 p.m. The staff welcomed and greeted me, and within about 10 minutes I was called in to complete the drug and hair tests. After completing both tests, I was instructed to return to the waiting area because the doctor would call me for the physical examination.

I returned to the waiting area at approximately 1:40–1:45 p.m. I then waited for approximately three hours. I was waiting until around 4:55 p.m. The doctor finally saw me at approximately 5:05 p.m., but the physical examination itself took only about three minutes.

This experience was extremely frustrating. I understand that urgent care centers can become busy, but waiting approximately three hours for a physical examination that took only a few minutes was very difficult and disappointing. I was there for most of the afternoon and was one of the last people to leave the clinic.

I question how the clinic manages its scheduling and patient flow. If a doctor can complete a physical examination in approximately three minutes, patients should not have to wait several hours without clear communication about the delay.

This was my first time visiting this location, and based on my experience, I will not return. I hope management will review what happened, including the waiting time, scheduling process, and communication with patients, so other people do not have the same experience.

If you are considering going to this location and you need to be somewhere on time, I recommend asking about the expected wait time before checking in. Based on my experience, you may be waiting for several hours.

I was sent there to do a random DOT urine sample drug screen. Positives: professionally greeted, short wait to sign in, filled out my on line stuff, fairly short wait to get called back.

Negatives - it was busy back there. I was asked to out my stuff in my pockets (wallet, cell phone, car keys etc) in a locker but the locker was never locked. Other patients were coming and going.

Second, the gal asked me to wash my hands at the sink at the counter once I set my sample down. While I was busy washing my hands she poured my urine into the two shipping tubes. There were other people’s cups on the same counter. It would be very easy for a mix to occur. I was asked to sign the seal vouching it was my urine. Unusual. Every other time I have done a sample I am asked to watch the lab pour from the collection cup. I guess nothing happened to either my stuff or my sample but they should follow protocols and procedures

went to the puyallup office and got there soon after they opened at 8am. got checked in quickly the receptionist was friendly and helpful, as well as the nursing staff that helped me with my visit. My issue is with the wait times, I was there for a total of 2hours for what turned out to be a 15min procedure. After the bulk of the process was preformed by the nursing staff I waited in the room for the doctor for 20min before I started to walk out to get my kids ,that were waiting very patiently in the waiting area.

Had to take a non-dot drug screening for a new job. When I arrived at 8:20 on a Wednesday the waiting room was packed. I thought I would be spending the next hour waiting but I was called back with 10/15 minutes of signing in and completing registration. After that we went to the back, I was given a cup. Did my thing, handed back and only had to initial in a couple places and VIOLA! Complete. 8:40. In and out easy peasy ! Jojo/ Jomar was my collector and he was very polite and professional. Even gave me a heads up of what door to use to get to my car quicker. Overall a pretty good experience for a drug test !

I love getting to a location an hour and a half early so that I can be first in line (the line here regularly goes around the corner) only to have 4 other people be seen before me. Awesome! What was the point of being the first person in line if I'm just going to have to wait for everyone else anyway. Realistically this isn't the staffs fault and is more of a problem with not having enough locations but it is still frustrating. The staff was 10/10 though very friendly and explained every test so I knew what was coming. Thank you especially to the new nurse that assisted me, she did great!
