Garbage doctor. First surgery was terrible followed with a revision where he couldn’t fix minor issues and made them a lot worse. Terrible bedside manner as well.

My experience with Dr Rival was everything I hoped for one day. I’ve wanted to change my nose ever since I was a little kid and he gave me exactly what I envisioned! He’s fantastic.
Their staff is all amazing. I mainly dealt with Lyne and she was wonderful!!!! All of them were such a pleasure.

saw Dr. Rival to correct a deviated septum and to fix the tip and bridge of my nose and I couldn't be more happy with the results! The staff was so helpful and amazing throughout my whole journey and Dr. Rival helped me through the process and answered all my many questions. The end result is exactly what I wanted and I am so happy with my nose and the healing process. Could not recommend going to see Dr. Rival enough!

Dr. Rival is an excellent choice for rhinoplasty - you will not be disappointed. He is a very skilled and knowledgeable doctor, and also has a kind and genuine demeanour. I felt very safe and in the right hands with him - he seemed to fully understand my concerns and what I wanted to achieve. He did everything I asked - gave me a smaller version of my nose, narrowed the bridge, smoothed down bumps on either side of the bridge, and reduced a bulbous tip while still maintaining a round tip as I still wanted to look like myself. At 7 weeks post op I am still a bit swollen in the tip and adjusting to my new look but I am very appreciative of what Dr. Rival has done for me. At 38 years old I only wish I'd done it sooner! Thank you, Dr. Rival!

I extend my greatest thanks to Dr. Richard Rival for both his prowess as a surgeon and his remarkable ability to provide compassionate patient care. I am 21 and, prior to surgery, had a prominent dorsal hump on the bridge of my nose, from a fracture sustained in childhood. Like many, I was reluctant to undergo surgery, but my fears were quelled upon meeting Dr. Rival. I am grateful to him for his attentiveness in listening to my concerns and his ability to describe the surgical procedure. Currently I am one month post-operation, and I am overjoyed by the outcome of my closed rhinoplasty. I thank Dr. Rival for his ability to make me feel safe throughout this process, and for restoring confidence in myself as a person. As I begin my journey into medical school this fall, I will recall this experience fondly. One day I hope to emulate the qualities that Dr. Rival presents as a physician and, more importantly, as a human being. Thank you Dr. Rival.

Dr Rival is not only extremely skilled as a surgeon but also has an excellent bedside manner. I had my surgery 3 years ago (age 48), so it is never too late! I am very thankful that I found him. After my initial consultation, I knew he would be my surgeon. He is very honest about what can be accomplished, and if you are realistic, I can't imagine that you would not be thrilled with your results. My only regret is that I didn't find him and consult him sooner!

I found, and chose, Dr. Rival because of the reviews on various sites and I just wanted to add to the list of great reviews. My general philosophy is that I care more about extraordinary skill than bedside manner, but with Dr. Rival you get both. He listens to your concerns and gracefully and compassionately explains his thoughts - pros, cons, and of course things you couldn't possibly have thought of because you don't have the expertise of someone who does this everyday. He is wickedly smart and his excellent surgical skills mean better outcomes, including a faster and smoother recovery -- and this was definitely true for me. I am so amazed at the difference - very subtle and balanced and --- beautiful. I never would have said that about myself before because of my unfortunate and oversized Jewish nose. I hate to admit it but it boosts my confidence remarkably and that goes a very long way in interactions with other people. Elective surgery can be scary and unreal and you need to know you are in good hands. I was 100% confident that he would do the best he could possibly do. And he did. And I'm so happy.

When I called them the next week they said was would you like to reschedule?"
I explain that not only did they NOT admit their mistake or apologize for wasting an entire work day of mine, but their attitude was appalling.... as if it was MY FAULT for showing up the day they scheduled me.
I asked for an apology. She just kept repeating "would you like to reschedule?"
Arrogant idiots.

One year ago I have a septo-rhinoplasty at Dr .Rival .He did only septoplasty -very bad- and took money for both. .This is the ''natural locking ''nose job for dr Rival ,not work at both for you paid .I m from France and here a doctor -teacher at university is fired if do so big mistake .I payed 8000 can without putting the hotel and i m very unhappy .My pictures will be shown at an International meeting for nose surgeons to show how goods are the surgeons from Canada .Not all ,this Dr Rival .I shall sue him in Canada too because it is not professional to do 3 surgeries in the same time -only for money .His smile is false because he knows very well he is not good in nose job .

I realize these reviews sound rigged - I swear this one isn't. Just had my cast removed today after having my rhinoplasty 6 days ago. I immediately loved my new nose, even with the cast on. The nostrils are a bit off - but that's normal and just swelling at this point. The shape is amazing. I'm a guy and wanted a bit of a softer nose than he would normally do for a guy, and it looks amazing. Still like a guy's nose, but a little cuter... ;)

I chose Dr Rival to do my rhinoplasty surgery and could not be happier. I am completely satisified with my naturally small beautiful new nose. Unlike some other surgeons I consulted with, Dr Rival didn't rush, listened to my input and didn't try to sell himself (like many others). I would recommened Dr Rival to anyone who is looking for a surgeon with great skill both in surgery and in interacting with his patients.
