I have been using Access Storage at Uplands Drive (Ottawa) for several years to store my vehicles (sports car and motorcycle) over the winter season. The units are very clean, well-maintained and weatherproof. I am always pleasantly surprised when I remove the covers off in the spring and see little or no dust whatsoever after almost 6 months of storage. Their staff are also professional, very friendly and accommodating! I would not hesitate to recommend Access Storage for all your storage needs!

Frustrated and disappointed!!
storage facility allows extremely loud snow-removal operations in its parking lot almost every night between 8 PM to almost 4 AM. Heavy machinery runs continuously and directly impacts nearby homes, making it nearly impossible to sleep.
The equipment being used appears old and poorly maintained, producing excessive noise and not operating properly, which makes the disturbance even worse!
While snow clearing is necessary, permitting this level of overnight noise beside residential housing shows a serious lack of consideration for the surrounding community. There appears to be no effort to schedule work at reasonable hours or reduce disturbance.
Very disappointed with how this facility manages its property and treats its neighbors.

Very poor consideration for nearby residents.
We live in military housing right next to this storage facility — their snow removal operations start around 10:00 p.m. and continue until 4:30 a.m. The snowplow trucks and heavy equipment are less than 30 steps from our bedroom, creating constant engine noise, backup alarms, and metal scraping sounds throughout the night.
There is no regard for neighbors, no attempt to limit noise during overnight hours, and no human or reasonable response to complaints. We tried raising the issue respectfully, but nothing changed. Being woken up repeatedly in the middle of the night by loud trucks is unacceptable, especially in a residential area.
This is not about one bad night — it’s a pattern. The lack of care, planning, or basic consideration for people living next door is shocking.

Jack is phenomenal! Best customer service I’ve ever had with storing my vehicle and he made the process extremely easy and smooth ! 10/10 recommend. It’s also super close to the Ottawa airport. Jack was professional kind and even shoveled a parking space for my vehicle. You will not find another great car storage location 3600 uplands is the best in the city

I rented the unit at uplands for 3 months when purchasing a new home for temporary storage. A little pricey, but it served it's purpose. The manager is great at doing what he can to address any issues that come up as soon as possible. The only reason I rated it four stars instead of five is because it took around 2-3 weeks to get my access card working.

When I first registered for the unit, I honestly it was questioning how to even enter the parking lot since it's shared with park n fly. So I'm writing this comment for others who were in the same position I was in.

Here are some things I wish I knew before hand:
1. You will always use the far right entrance to the parking lot, there will be 2 lanes there. To access without a key card, you can use the left lane and just tell park n fly that you want to go to access storage. You should not take a parking ticket, while it will grant you entrance, it confuses the park n fly employees.

2. If you purchase a unit you will get a key card that you can use to enter/exit freely.

3. For access storage, once you have a key card, you always want to use the right lane.

3. Sometimes newer park n fly employees attempt to charge you, thinking you were parking there. In all circumstances refute this and make sure they are aware that you came from access storage. If they do charge you you can email their manager to get a refund.

4. To be safe, if purchasing your own lock make sure it is for a storage unit. Locks that are too small or that have very long bars will not fit.

Hope this helps future storage unit renters at this location.

I was quite disappointed with the condition of the storage unit. There were visible holes, which led to water damage to my belongings. When I raised the issue with the manager, I was told, “Oh well, we can fix it in the summer.” In the meantime, my items were left exposed to snow, moisture, and potentially rodents.

Given the cost of the outdoor unit, I expected a higher standard of maintenance and customer service. The lack of urgency and concern was frustrating and unacceptable.

The units were clean and easy to access. It was great to have the extra security of the security gates at the entrance to the park and ride. The manager was super helpful whenever we popped into the office.

I chose them at first just because of the good deal but ended up having the most pleasant service I've had with storage company. The store manager Jack at uplands branch was very patient, pleasant and very knowledgeable at his job. I would definitely recommend them to friends and it would be the first into mind if I needed a storage again in the future.
