I came here two weeks ago 2 hours before closing and they were closed because they were short staffed.
I came right at 1015AM today and I ordered all the new proteins since I haven't been here in 6 years. I got home and opened up the boxes and I was sorely disappointed.
I've never seen such little chicken in my bowl ever. I get the company keeps reducing the serving every so often but it's ridiculous. I ate my large beef since I was starving but the amount of beef was actually less than in the picture with the combo.
Yoshinoya was my first job and I loved it and their food. Sad to see what it has become. I paid $40 for $20 worth of food. I went to the original Yoshinoya in Japan and they charge about $5-$8 for these portions.

One of my favs! The teriyaki chicken is crispy and the sauce is warm over a bed of steamed rice and veggies Al dente! The gyodon beef has a nice flavor, kinda makes me nostalgic for home cooking...yum! I like to dress it with some pepper and ginger and soy sauce.

I really like Yoshi. Been here about 7 times since they opened. Not so fried rice is great, also like the ribs, and the original beef with lots of the peppers condiment. employees friendly, place is clean. Good coupons.

I ordered the teriyaki chicken and the spicy chipotle chicken with sauce on the side, pretty much the same chicken with different sauce. I suspect the chipotle sauce is just teriyaki and saracha combined. Portion is small for both the large plate and the bowl. Wait for the coupon the coupon via mail. Not worth otherwise. The store is new but not comfy to eat at all. Don’t know why. Just not a good place to eat.

I went here when I was visiting California and this place was freshly open and was pretty impressed with the food. I loved in Japan so Yoshinoya was a fast food staple. I do miss the Japanese style where you get miso, salmon, etc options for your meals instead of a more “Chinese fast food” feel. We all tried something different. I really enjoyed the gyudon and the sweet and sour shrimp, and the orange chicken was quite good too. One thing I HATE HATE HATE is how much WASTE they’re creating. I get that it’s fast food, but you don’t need to package everything in a styrofoam container, especially if they are dining in. At least switch over to more eco friendly containers. The amount of waste was insane.
