Just had a wonderful dinner for 4 outside on the patio. The setting is beautiful and peaceful. Food was delicious. Loved the hamachi app, Caesar salad, lobster spaghetti, halibut, and the Brussel sprouts. Service was excellent. Very pricey but wonderful for a special occasion.

Lilian’s in Rancho Santa Fe made for such a fun date night spot. The whole place has a romantic, polished vibe without feeling stuffy. My wife and I started with the spicy tuna crispy rice and honestly could’ve ordered three more - perfectly crispy with that melt-in-your-mouth tuna on top. She went with the wedge salad and spicy rigatoni alla vodka, which totally lived up to the hype, while I had the warm crab and avocado salad that was super fresh and refreshing. The 1/2 roasted chicken sealed the deal for me - hearty, flavorful, and seriously satisfying. Great food, great atmosphere, and one of those dinners you keep talking about after you leave.

Let me tell you, walking into Lillian's in Rancho Santa Fe is an experience in itself. The atmosphere is absolutely **amazing** — the kind of place where you instantly forget about the outside world and settle into something truly special. It strikes the perfect balance between lively and relaxed, making every visit feel like a little celebration.

And the décor? **Stunning** is the only word for it. Every detail has been thoughtfully curated, and the result is a space that is genuinely **beautiful** to be in. You'll catch yourself looking around between bites just to take it all in. Whoever designed this place deserves a standing ovation.

Now, the food — because that's why we're really here — was **fantastic**. Every dish was crafted with care, full of bold and satisfying flavors that kept us talking long after the meal was over. The kitchen clearly takes pride in what it puts out, and it shows on every single plate.

The service was **warm and attentive** without being overbearing — exactly what you want when you're trying to enjoy a great meal. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience flow effortlessly from start to finish.

Lillian's is the kind of restaurant that reminds you why dining out is one of life's greatest pleasures. Whether you're celebrating something special or just treating yourself to a beautiful evening, this place delivers on every front. **Highly, highly recommended!**

03/25/2026I was enjoying a nice lunch with a friend until dessert arrived—along with the bill and the credit card machine. The server hovered, clearly expecting immediate payment, which made the experience feel rushed and uncomfortable. I’ve honestly received more considerate service at a fast food restaurant.I was enjoying a nice lunch with a friend until dessert arrived—along with the bill and the credit card machine. This was a tough rating to give. I really wanted to like Lilian’s, but for the outrageous prices, the food just wasn’t up to par.

The French toast was truly fantastic, definitely the star of the meal. The breakfast potatoes were also delicious. Unfortunately, everything else we ordered was lacking in one way or another. The Caesar salad was overpowered by strong lemon flavor, the scrambled eggs were rubbery and completely unseasoned, the chicken sausage was inedible, the pancakes were bland, and the syrup - at a $200-for-3-people-restaurant - was fake/not real maple.

The atmosphere is wonderful, and we very much enjoyed sitting outside. But the food was simply not good enough to justify the price.
