This is my favorite store in Alameda! It is the best place to get unique and creative gifts for people or just spoil yourself. I love their craft and maker markets, they bring in such amazing artists. I have gotten some of my favorite jewelry from these events. I also really like the surprise boxes and stickers. They even have pokemon cards!

Absolutely love this little queer-owned and run gift shop. I always enjoy dropping in to see cute new merch - they have stuff by over 300 local artists of which they have enthusiastic knowledge, which is amazing! The store also is a safe space for queer and other marginalized folks, and every staff member is so friendly and welcoming, and happy to chat about cute things like stickers and plushies. They also have blind boxes if you're into those, and host mini art markets every few months, in the middle of the open air shopping center that's right by the beach! Highly recommend checking out if you're in Alameda.

A fantastic gift shop ran by fantastic people! You can find literally everything in Modern Mouse from cards to stickers to apparel to even plushies! The store is FILLED with work from local artists and it is such a gem in the community. I highly recommend checking them out!!

The items are wonderful and I’m am definitely willing to support local artist BUT I was charged a tip I KNOW I did not pick at all! $13 tip for a typical store?! $55 in stickers and paper products but it supports local BUT an added $13 when I KNOW I did not hit the tip line since I thought maybe that was just programmed into the computer because what store asks for tips unless there’s a special service and there’s no special service. I hope the $13 is worth me never coming back. This was the first and last time I will ever go to this store as long as that tip is on that machine without an explanation anywhere in the store I refuse to ever support this store again.
