I am here at the Winterburn Road in Edmonton location.
I have movers taking my stuff from 2 units I have been renting for a long time.
The back overhead door is broken and will only go up feet then it stops.
Now im paying these guys by the hour.
They have to squeeze everything through a single man door.
When I call the contact number for the place, its a cental number. It then transfers me to the Edmonton number where a lady with an Australian accent announces they are willing to help me.
Then I get a voice mail saying please leave your name, telephone number and a brief message and we will get back to you shortly.
Well...I don't know how long their shortly is. It's a lot longer than my classification for shortly.

Fees, that's how they make their money, not through rentals! 30$ account setup fee? For 5 minutes to type in your name? There's no mention on the webpage of 30$ setup fee. Do yourself a favor: walk to the closest independendent storage and hopefully you run into an honest guy who doesn't rip you off. It might not look so cheap but you are better off in the end.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Was a month late called and called no answers. Missed second payment finally reached a rep after only 40 days late and they doubled the bill from $140 to $286 and refused to take any arrangement or discuss. I lost my job and had a mental breakdown and trying to get back on track and got told essentially too bad it'll be going up to $410 on the 15th. Now on the 23rd I get a message it's at risk of going to auction!!!!! My basic needs I'm living in a camper trying to make arrangements and they are strapping me with so many extra fees and bullshit it's rediculous!!!! Currently 50 or so days late. You hear stories everyone 1 year before they would consider and usually with no contact, I've contacted tried to talk and make arrangements so I'm pretty sure they just want my couch and box spring and dishes for them selves honestly thus is THE ABSOLUTE WORST I HAVE EVER BEEN TREATED BY ANY COMPAMY FOR ANYTHING!!!!!!!!

If you could contact me and work something out to a reasonable amount/payment plan so I can get caught up and keep my stuff that would be great! I'm just trying to get back on my feet.

This storage mart is great. The ladies are awesome, helpful and very professional. I like the fact they watch all vehicles going in and out and ensuring they are in the appropriate storage unit. I would recommend this facility to everyone looking for a secure storage place

I've personally had nothing but great experiences with the Winterburn location. The yard is spacious and the employees who work here are always friendly and very helpful when it came to any of my needs or concerns. Very communicative as well (A friendly phone call) if there was anything that needed to be fixed on my end on my rented lot and pure understanding. They always have great prices when it comes to needing storage or even a lot for your Campers.

Been a customer for several years and we have the larger unit at about $550 per month. Unfortunately, although the space is clean, and the yard is gated and secure, procuring any maintenance has been difficult. After 3 months of waiting for the overhead door to be fixed we still do not have access to our unit which makes things hard to remove and store our items. We have several complaints but still waiting patiently. A novice overhead repair man was on location initially but the repair is not completed. We inquired about either a discount for not being able to use the space or other options such as a spare space to occupy, but they have refused both and asked us to just wait as they will "see if they can get around to it."
(The rear man door is not easily accessible, and it is difficult to move our larger items or impossible such as moving vehicles...)

I would recommend a different Storage Mart or different storage company who may provide better customer service, even after being with them for several years we are indeed disappointed and looking at other options.

Writing this review to help some People, like Storage Mart helped Me. I was in a pinch. First is the rates, very happy with that. Second was the sign up and customer service I received, in and out of the store I deal with. Helpful and I felt comfortable dealing with them. Shout out to Storage Mart and the People there!

What a shady outfit of a company. They offer you a discounted rate but can’t tell you how much the price will increase after the discounted rate is reached. Do they pull numbers out of a hat and decide on a price. They also don’t cover snow damage in the value coverage in ALBERTA and will cover none of the damages that happen to your belongings while stored even if it was because of the shitty unit or door and have the NERVE to charge you a start up fee to move your stuff to another unit. Great customer service screw you fee.

Unless you want your rented unit broken into and items stolen do not rent from this storage business. It’s been a hassle dealing with them as their head office is in Missouri. Some of our personal items that were stolen are irreplaceable. Very disheartening and frustrating 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

Staff could not be less professional. One staff member in particular is rude, interrupts, argues and is intolerant of anyone trying to speak.

Two break ins with items stolen and no attempt to increase security. Staff don't care. Corporate doesn't care.
0/10 would use again. You're better off leaving your stuff in a parking lot.

Staff are so absolutely rude.

If you want your trailer stolen this is the place to go! None of their cameras actually work you'd be better off leaving it in a Walmart parking lot... and when your trailer does get stolen management doesn't care at all

We park truck in their place. Without any information they charge from me $55 late fee for only 10 days. We don’t recommend that place . Storage mart 21508 , 115 Ave NW Edmonton.

Unacceptable behaviour.
Yes they do have good rates online, unless you dont get tenant insurance on your own, because if you use theirs then bam there adds an extra 40$ a month and it is mandatory, I did so I was fine.
What was not fine was jacking the rate 2 months in with a new manager while claiming its price of business but not changing the rate online so new people still got the original price and there was no notification online stating "this is a entry price subject to change blah blah", cool, deceptive, also the 40$ thing wasnt obviously listed till after I paid and walked in to do the new tenant thing, then after you had signed up they inform you of it, real lacking in upfront honesty because I checked every storage place around so I know the info wasnt on your site at the time.
Oh and after I gave my notice I was going to leave? Ever door to the inside units had a new big lock on it with ZERO notice to tenants, "its a weekend security measure" that they told NO ONE ABOUT, I wasted 45 minutes on the phone with their head office trying to get them to give me the code so I could retrieve my stuff during the hours they stated I could on their door, on their website and on the phone.
This is not professional, this is unacceptable and unethical behaviour and I will never be back to a place that treats me and my property like this, I will pay more elsewhere.

Even though it was just before closing she didn’t seem to mind to help me out and provide me with top notch service. This is now 2 for 2 amazing customer service experiences with this location.
