We have been going here probably for 3+ years and I’m finally getting around to doing a review. My husband loves their chicken wings, especially on Wednesday night when it’s on special. He says there’s some of the biggest and best cooked and he is a chicken wing man! I love salads that are fresh and full of good vegetables and they have one of the best garden salads there that I get with their beautifully cooked shredded chicken on it. My son actually had the Mediterranean salad, which is really an Italian sub in a bowl and he raved about it. My grandkids love their pizza and it’s pretty awesome that you can buy it by the slice. It’s best when Lisa is bartending as she not only does a good beer pour but makes the finest skinny margarita in town.

First off, I really like this place. When they first opened it was very meh, but under new ownership it has gotten better.

What bothers me is this. I placed a pickup order at 1:30pm to pickups between 6:20 and 6:30.

My wife arrives at 6:35 to pickup the order and is told that she's 10 minutes early. 6:55 rolls around and still no pizza.

If you're busy, that's fine, I get it. But telling customers that they're early when they're not, simply because you're backed up is a problem for me. Don't blame my wife for "being early" when in fact you're late.

Edit: updated my score after a response from management that they'll discuss the issue with employees.

The pizza really is great, fantastic crispy but chewy crust.

I had heard from two friends that Johnny Brusco’s had great New York-style pizza, so I decided to give it a try today. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience from the moment I sat down.

I was seated outside, where I could clearly see into the kitchen through the glass doors. I watched the employee preparing my salad scratch himself and continue handling food without wearing gloves. If customers are going to have a direct view into the kitchen, I would suggest either ensuring food safety standards are consistently followed or installing some type of privacy film on the glass.

I sent the salad back, and moments later, our server, Abby, walked into the kitchen and loudly said, “You guys need to be wearing gloves!” While I appreciated her addressing the issue, it’s concerning that she had to do so at all.

As for the pizza, I was expecting a New York-style slice and was left disappointed. The sauce had good flavor, but there wasn’t nearly enough of it. It lacked the thin, foldable, slightly greasy characteristics that make New York-style pizza so iconic. I was hoping for that delicious grease-dripping-off-the-tip-of-the-slice moment, and it just wasn’t there.

I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, but food safety is non-negotiable. Between the kitchen practices I witnessed and the pizza falling short of what was advertised, I don’t know if I see myself returning.

I love Johnny bruscos and everytime I went the food and pizza was amazing, the chicken florentine is my favorite and I haven’t been in a while and I went a got some takeout and I was craving it sooo bad, and I get home with the pizza and it’s absolutely crisped and overcooked and when I bite into it it’s like a cracker, the flavors aren’t there and I’m very dissapointed. You guys gotta do better than that man, this pizza is suppost to be white and flavorful but it all came out brown and crunchy, I’m sooo dissapointed, I paid $30 for this pizza.

Every time we visit Johnny Brusco's, we're reminded why we keep coming back. The food is always fantastic, the pizza is fresh and flavorful, and the atmosphere is welcoming and family-friendly.
On our most recent visit, Abby took great care of us. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and made sure our experience was top-notch from start to finish. It's clear she genuinely cares about her customers and takes pride in what she does.
Great food is important, but great service is what keeps people coming back, and Abby definitely helped make our visit memorable. We left happy, full, and already looking forward to our next trip to Johnny Brusco's!
