Richard was the nicest most professional service tech. He was very thorough in finding and explaining the problem with our HVAC system. I would recommend Steel T to everyone.

In hindsight, having this company come take a look at my A/C unit was an expensive mistake. I will not be doing business with them again for my rental properties.

The first red flag was when they charged $200 for the service call compared to the $100 other companies charged.

The second and eye popping one was charging $450 bucks for a $20 capacitor that takes 15-30 mins to install. To see if I was being gouged, I called 2 other HVAC companies that day and each of their quotes for the same work came in much lower. One was at $180 for the replacement.

Before writing this review, I tried to give them the chance to offer a fair price after sharing the prices of their competitors. The called his manager and knowing that I had no other options to get this fixed before the weekend said that was the best price they could do.

In the end I paid over $550 for a $20 part and less than 1 hour of the technicians time to diagnose and fix the problem. This is a business that puts their profits in the short run far above any long-term customer service relationship.

From the initial troubleshooting with Richard, to Chris (the owner) and Service Manager Nathan working through the details, and finally David and his install team completing the job, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Steel-T Home Services. I had a great experience with SteelT. They replaced my 22 year old Carrier furnace with a new one that has met every expectation. Installation was very well done in about a half a day. Passed inspection without issues and the system is working great and is wonderfully quiet. SteelT's 5 year labor warranty set them apart from other companies that bid on the job.

Professional and efficient from scheduling to service. Richard called to let me know he was on his way. He was on time and did a great job fixing our HVAC system.He spent two hours and I felt the price was reasonable. I have already scheduled an appointment with their plumbing department for a separate maintenance issue. I feel very comfortable with Steel T and will continue to use them in the future.
