My experience at the Popeyes located at 901 El Camino Avenue was absolutely ridiculous. The employee who handled my order was rude, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional.

I was given the WRONG order. The order actually belonged to the customer in the blue Jeep Renegade next to me, so I did the right thing and handed them their correct order. I then went inside to explain that I had received someone else’s food and that I needed my actual order. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the employee acted like I was lying about what happened and had the audacity to be rude and yell at me.

Excuse me? I did not make the mistake YOU made, so why am I being treated like I did something wrong? All I wanted was the food I actually ordered. The attitude, disrespect, and unnecessary confrontation were completely uncalled for.

Honestly, her behavior was so nasty that it made me question whether racial bias played a role in how I was treated as a Black customer. I will not accuse someone of something I cannot prove, but I know when I am being treated with disrespect, and the way this employee handled the situation was unacceptable.

Let me be clear: if I ever decide to spend my money at this location again, I do NOT want this employee bringing my order to me or handling my customer service experience. I expect management to address this situation and provide proper customer service training. Customers should not have to deal with an employee who makes a mistake and then treats them like the problem.

Popeyes needs to do better. Your employees represent your business, and this kind of attitude is a terrible reflection on the restaurant. I came to spend my money, not argue with someone over an order that YOUR employee got wrong.

Absolutely unacceptable. Management needs to address this employee’s behavior because nobody should be treated this way when all they want is the order they paid for.

The food is good, not sure why they removed the chicken jambalaya though. The service is descent although some of the server's don't speak clear English. The prices are getting higher and higher which means I may not be eating here as much.

Not one to usually go out of my way to write bad reviews unless I really feel strongly about my experience.
My family and I spent about $50 on 3 separate meals. Everything seemed extremely old. As someone’s that’s worked in fast food, I know when food is due to be discarded. We were absolutely served food that was old and supposed to have been thrown out by the staff. I feel like the lady who took our order was already super upset when I was at the speaker, and possibly served us expired food on purpose. We did offer to wait in the parking lot if they didn’t have anything readily available. I give 2 stars because the cashier was at least nice and had good customer service. But Lily, the food packer, was extremely rude and I’m disturbed. I know she’s definitely potentially spitting in orders. I never intended to piss anyone here, so idk why we got this service :/ super disappointing.

They had two combo meals in my order, and one of them was supposed to come with shrimp. When I arrived to pick up my order, they told me they didn’t have any shrimp. I spent time driving there and didn’t get what I wanted. They could’ve called me and let me know they were out of shrimp. The support in your app is useless — there are no live agents, and the bot is no help when you want to request a refund. I had to take chicken instead of shrimp… I didn’t get what I was expecting. And to top it all off, they even mixed up the sauces. On the other hand, if people can’t even check the receipt properly, what kind of service can you expect?

I checked to make sure each of the entrees were there, but I guess I have to count the pieces of chicken too. This is weird. Why do I have to check if you put 6 pieces of chicken in my container for a 6-piece order? That’s a shame. Here are pictures of two 6-piece Honey BBQ Wings. They are spicy by the way. It’s not regular chicken; it’s the spicy chicken so be careful for those who cannot have spicy food in their diet. The sauce helped the spice a tiny bit. This is a shame. 4 pieces of chicken that are oversauced, and 6 pieces of chicken that have barely any sauce at all. How do you mess that up? Count 6 pieces for each container then add enough sauce to cover them. Guess it’s back to BWW & Pizza Hut for some wings. They never answer the phone. At least they updated their app for customer service needs. The Popeyes app customer service is similar to Doordash customer service. No humans. All bot. Sad though.
