Warning: DO NOT USE GURU PLUMBING! These guys are idiots! After spelling everything out clearly in an email with their dispatch and setting an appointment to fix the plumbing leak @ 8 am on a Saturday morning - the plumber calls me and states that he has no information about the work order. He is going to cancel the call out! They bailed on the entire job because they did not have the information and left us hanging!!! What a joke!

I was initially told by the receptionist that the call-out fee would be $75, and she was very clear and professional on the phone.

Before coming out, the owner, Jim, called and explained there would actually be an additional $75 diagnostic fee, bringing the total to $150. What concerned me was that the reasoning seemed to shift throughout the conversation - at different points it was attributed to the late hour, suppliers being closed, and my location. None of this had been mentioned when the appointment was booked. My address had already been provided, and the only fee communicated beforehand was the $75 call-out fee.

I understand that misunderstandings can happen, and I do appreciate Jim calling beforehand rather than surprising me afterward. However, the inconsistent explanation and sudden change in pricing left me feeling uncomfortable and hesitant to proceed.

Clear and consistent communication around pricing is important, especially before booking service calls. I’d encourage the company to ensure everyone is aligned on fees upfront so customers know exactly what to expect. Doing so would go a long way in strengthening customer trust and overall service experience. What’s disappointing is that you came with a good recommendation. When I’d shared with who recommended you, they were disheartened and disappointed also.

The tech came as arranged. Got a service call. I was told I would get a quote for the proposed project and a service report. None received, and I paid fast. This review is 2 weeks late, because I thought I would give them a chance. Also sent a web message, no response. Sent a text to the rep- no response, even though the message was read. Tired of waiting. Should my concerns be addressed, this review may be revised to reflect them. How can I share my concerns if the person who answered the phone came to the place and did the visit? I have been ghosted. Is there a general support line for the manager? Not just the basic number that reached the service tech. Still waiting for a callback from them.

We noticed our water pressure dropping and found out there was an issue with the water line. Guru Plumbing responded quickly, repaired the damaged section, and tested everything to make sure it was working fine. Really happy with the work

I would not reccomend Guru for any HVAC needs. I had them do a heat pump installation. They were completely unfamiliar with available rebates and in fact were steering me towards a unit that would have had me lose out on 12k of rebates. I had to do my own research and tell them which one to install. They also misquoted pricing and had extra costs come up that weren't earlier disclosed. They then charged extra for lineset covers. They were very late in finishing the job during a heat wave. They have only one installer who was uncooperative with regards to where to run linesets. Unfamiliar with heat pumps, I only later discovered that they buried condensation drainage in the lineset covers instead of draining them into gutter. The installer ran lineset under my outside faucet which is ridiculous and he refused to change it. The end result is an unsightly mish mash of lines running along side of my house. One day I will have to pay somebody else to come fix their work. I have attached some pics of the quality of work you can expect on your home. Stay away if you want the job to be done properly.
