Took my 2024 Silverado in, which I bought new back in 2024 and has only ever been serviced by Chevy dealers. Basic oil changes and tire rotations. The servicing department check-in was fine. The area to sit in is nice.

They came in and told me that I had a stuck lug nut and asked me if I wanted a quote to send it over to the shop and break that lug nut loose. I said no. I would like to know more about it. They said, "No problems. We'll just rotate the tires we can."

When I went to go check out, they tried to get me to sign a paper acknowledging a bad stud, not a stuck lug nut. I didn't feel comfortable signing this as the language in the paperwork stated that it was as-is and I was worried that it would void a potential warranty claim (as this has only ever been serviced by Chevy dealers). I didn't think that I, as the customer who bought a brand-new truck under warranty, should have to pay for a fix to a stuck lug nut, especially if they are stating that it is a bad stud.

We went back and forth. I didn't want to sign the document. She had the shop foreman come out. The shop foreman tried to tell me that it was probably the factory Loctite that got gummed up in there and got it stuck and that it just needed to be broken loose. I didn't quite buy that. I've never heard of Loctite being used on lug nuts. I've heard of security lug nuts, regular lug nuts, but I've never heard of Loctite being used.

I sat there and went back and forth with them. She had the service manager come over and basically my concern was that I didn't want to sign away a potential warranty claim because they were stating the stud was bad, which I'm assuming is a pretty big fix. However upon getting home and doing some research, I have not found anything to confirm that factory Loctite is a thing on lug nuts. What I have mostly understood from comments, AI, and forums is that most likely either their service department cross-threaded it or the previous service department cross-threaded it. Either way this does not seem to be an issue I caused as I've only ever had Chevy dealers and Chevy servicing departments work on this truck.

They made a note at the bottom of this paper they wanted me to sign and handed it off to the desk lady and never let me see it. Generally it was a pretty sketchy experience and I would not recommend this place.

Also upon getting home it looks like they did not retirement the lugnut either. I saw the truck at the exit bay the whole time this back and forth was happening. Meaning they intend to completely leave it alone and send me home without returning the truck the way it was.

This place is huge. Great customer service. I got an internet quote on a Tahoe and drove from Austin to pick up the vehicle. I told the salesman (Reddy) I do not have patience for pricing games and hidden fees and he promised a smooth and honest sale. Classic Chevrolet delivered exactly what I wanted at a fair price.

It was fantastic. Jesus was so patient with me and all of my questions. Then when I finally made a decision he and William made is super easy. I love a dealership who means what they say. We live pretty far and the price they said it would be out the door, is what it was when we signed the dotted line. That’s rare these days and the reason I’ll come back again. We got everything done before we got there, signed the papers and the truck was ready to drive away. We will highly recommend to everyone.

Her personality matched mine, making me feel at ease from the start. This is a quality that should be instilled in all salespeople. Despite my limited time, I never felt rushed. When Chloe took me to wait for finance, I had just enough time to make myself a cup of hot chocolate before he was ready. There was no unnecessary back-and-forth; instead, we communicated directly and understood each other. He knew exactly what I needed and took care of me.
