Petco online will not deliver. But Petco on DoorDash will.
Petco on DD ordered my product at a store that did not have the supply - and DD doesn’t allow you to choose the Petco
store that I knew had the product.

Other than that, I like them thus the 4 stars.

I went with my son to get his first pet, a Hamster. We were looking at all the different hamsters Petco offered and finally decided to go with a cute “Dzungarian hamster”. I have to say that Mark helped us so much with the process of adopting the cute little Hamster. Not only did he give us all the information we needed on how to treat the hamster he even recommended which tank/cage to get and even set it up for us. He gave us everything from a food dish to a hamster ball and put it in the cage for us and built the whole cage he put it together from scratch. He saved us so much time. When we left Petco we had our cute little hamster in a little blue box and the whole cage/tank setup to go. When we got home my son just needed to put in the food, water and the shredded paper in the tank. My son was so excited I barely was able to get him into bed. Mark you are the best and I really appreciate all your help and happy persona.

Witnessed a big shrimp eat a goldfish, told an employee about the pairing and he said “ it is fine”. Poor goldfish were frightened about being eaten. Also purchased 2 Corey catfish, to put in my tank with my glofish. 1 Corey cat fish is alive and well and the other died the same day from swim bladder disease. They don’t care for their fishes.

I needed prescription kidney food for my elderly dog and the store refused to sell it to me because it wasn’t prescribed by a Petco vet. It took two long calls to customer service in addition to showing the store the company’s own website to prove to them that the company policy was to sell prescription food even when prescribed by third party veterinarians. The Vetco just didn’t want to be bothered and the Petco manager could have cared less whether my dog got the food or she got the sale. These folks don’t care about dogs or dog owners.

Great location! Lots of variety, and very helpful staff. During our last visit, we were there to get the photos with Santa, and it went really well! The person taking the photos was super patient and took lots of them, giving us multiple options.

The shopping experience was good however, when we got home and unpacked the items we realized one item was missing. Call the store and was told they could not hold the item for longer than the next day. Now, to return to that location would not be a wise financial decision as it would cost approx. $50 return by taxi to pick up a $13.99 item . We only went there as we were on that side of Brooklyn on Monday. Ask if they could call a location closer to us, to get the item since it was already paid for, the answer was no. The person cashing us out and packing the items should have been more careful. It left a slightly bitter taste but we decided to take our loss and move on. Not sure if I would patronize that location in future.

a lot of ants as shown in video - every time i have been a lot of selections of items have none left in stock, especially isle on second floor with the cat supplements, grooming, etc.
