After my old unit failed and wasn’t covered under warranty, I decided to purchase a brand‑new system. Reliable Air & Heat came up first in my search, and their ratings looked solid, so I hired them to install a new unit for about $12,000.

The following year, the system failed again. I had to pay out of pocket for items not covered under the warranty, so I signed up for their service plan to have them come out twice a year. Every visit came with new recommendations costing several hundred dollars.

During the most recent breakdown, another company attempted repairs but couldn’t fix the issue. After being without A/C for four days in the Texas heat, I called Reliable Air & Heat again. Two days later, a technician arrived and diagnosed a bad motor. He said the part was covered under warranty, but labor would still be over $600 after the discount. At that point—six days without A/C—I was frustrated and desperate, so I agreed, emptied my savings, and canceled the service contract.

When he replaced the motor, the unit ran for about fifteen minutes before failing again. The tech rushed back and continued working, but then the owner called, upset, saying they “can’t work like this” and “weren’t making money.” The technician ended up replacing the contactor at no charge, and the system has been working since. I understand being a homeowner can be expensive but a brand new a/c shouldn't cost thousands of dollars to cover maintenance when its under warranty .

Great company, I called them and told them I just wanted to get a maintenance check. And even though they were buried in work, and they found time to come out and help me. The technician was courteous, professional, and prompt. I will definitely use this company again!

Great service! Seth came within the time frame we were given. He was able to tell us the issue without using confusing terminology. It was truly affordable and I could tell he was being honest and not just trying to upsell us. He was very respectful and we will be using this company again!

The Reliable Air and Heat team did a wonderful job of guiding us through the process of purchasing and installing a new AC system to replace our old worn out one. Windy and Robert were exceptional. They have professional and courteous technicians and installers that were a pleasure to work with. I recommend 100%.

We were very pleased with the service and consulting we received about out current main A/C and the mini-splits we have. At this point we just needed the units checked over and serviced but are confident in their ability to address our needs when the time comes for a modification. Bruce was a very knowledgable tech that offered suggestions on some adjustments we should consider after a remodel opened up a room.
