I give this a five star as Eddie Bauer is a great store. However, when I went there yesterday, April 18th, it was closed permanently. So sad to see another retail outlet gone for good.

Purchased some slippers Nov25 online. marketmall would not take them back had to ship them back because it was on line. i have been waiting 2 months for my refund…. still have not received it. Currently waiting online through customer service and it has been 42 minutes and still waiting to get through! wow ! won’t be purchasing from Eddie Bauer anytime soon-UPDATE- waited 56 minutes to talk to customer service as to where my refund is and after 56 minutes a recording comes on we are unable to take your call at this time AND HUNG UP ! Definitely will not be shopping g at Eddie Bauer in the future

I got a pair of pants as a Christmas gift. However, the lining and outer fabric of the pants were twisted.
The product had a tag, but a guy casheir said I couldn't exchange it for the same item because I didn't have a gift receipt. I could have bought the same item and exchanged the defective pants with that receipt, but I went home, took the gift receipt, and returned to the store to get a refund.
If you were to gift something from this store to someone, I would advise you to go elsewhere.

I ordered a winter coat at the end of November for a ski trip at Christmas. It sat at a warehouse in Calgary for almost a month and then the status changed to lost. The delivery company referred us to the merchant, Eddie Bauer, who insisted there was nothing they could do. Not only could they not courier one from a location nearby with the coat in stock, they alleged they couldn’t even hold it. Unreal.

I had a really weird experience there, it felt like I was being profiled for being indigenous.
I walked in and there were about 4 staff but no one looked my way or offered “hello”, I grabbed what I needed and headed to the register and before I even made it to the counter, a bald gentleman (I believe he had glasses and a beard) went “that’s full price.” Okay? I never asked? I said it was alright and he rang me up and told me the total.
I said “alright, that’ll be on debit” and went to tap my card, but he reached over the counter and hit the cancel button.
He then goes “sorry, I thought /you/ would be using credit.” And reset the machine for me with the right setting.
It was really yucky!
Please teach your staff not to assume one’s income! Gross!
I’m not going to be shopping eddie bauer again
