Brendan was awesome! He explained what he thought the problem might be before he even started looking at our AC. Once he checked everything out, he quickly diagnosed the issue and was able to get it fixed right away.

He was quick, efficient, and very neat with his work. On top of that, he was pleasant and professional the entire time and took the time to explain everything to me.

Really great experience from start to finish. I would definitely recommend Brendan to anyone who needs AC work done!

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend South Placer Heating & Air based on my experience.
First American Home Warranty assigned South Placer to diagnose and repair my HVAC system. What followed was nearly two months of repeated appointments, incorrect parts, failed communication, and no completed repair.
The first technician, Leandre, arrived without batteries for his tools, which I had to provide. On the next visit, I was told by Kevin that he had misdiagnosed the problem and ordered the wrong parts. I was promised a call from management to discuss the situation. That call never came.
I later received a contract from South Placer for $695 for testing and permits, and I paid $69 upfront toward parts.
Then came more appointments. On August 25, another technician, Jacob, arrived with the wrong parts. Again, I was promised a call. Again, nobody called.
On September 2, Leland arrived for what was my fourth service visit. Before they started, I asked whether they had the correct parts. I was assured they did. Approximately 45 minutes later, I was told they had the wrong parts again.
Throughout this process, I have had to take four days away from work, with each appointment requiring a six-hour window. Despite all of that time and inconvenience, my HVAC system still was not repaired.
Meanwhile, my home reached 99°F during the summer, and I ultimately had to purchase a portable AC unit for $500 just to have one area of the house we could cool.
The most frustrating part is not simply that the repair took a long time. Problems happen. It is the repeated misdiagnosis, incorrect parts, lack of communication, broken promises to call, and complete failure to get the job done after FOUR visits.
I gave South Placer every opportunity to resolve this professionally. They did not.
I would strongly encourage anyone considering this company to go elsewhere. We have been more than patient and accommodating at every turn. Unfortunately our experience has been has been an enormous waste of time, money, and patience.

Brendan came out with a helper who was learning. Brendan was very professional and did not beat around the bush, told us what was happening with our AC system after testing it out and what he recommended if it was his system at home. We agreed with his assessment and he proceeded. This day and age it is hard to find technicians that we feel comfortable with and can trust. We paid him and Brendan finished up his work outside and even closed our gate because we had to be somewhere. This level of service deserves an acknowledgement even though I rarely leave reviews. Thank you Brendan for going above and beyond for us. We really appreciate you.

Brendan O'Hara came on June 9, 2026 to look over our 23 year old HVAC system for the first time-to get a second opinion if its functioning or needs a full replacement. We were told by our current company last summer it was failing and wouldn't make it through summer 2025 and that they could replace it for a lot of money. Even showed us videos of units burning out, but it was never ours. A bit shady... and our HVAC never broke. Brendan was amazing; kind, knowledgeable, thorough and honest. Told us it's working fine, just old and slightly inefficient, what you would expect from a 23 year old Carrier! He saved us between $15,000-$25,000! If it breaks and something goes wrong he said he would be right over to fix it, no problem. Now we can replace the old unit with an electric energy efficient one on our time when least expensive (not during peak summer months). I can't thank him enough. He really knows what he is doing and trying to save you some money! He is great, going to stick with him, highly recommend! Natalie

After more than a week without air conditioning in the middle of a Sacramento July heat wave, Brendan O'hara was an absolute lifesaver. As a pregnant mama, getting our AC back up and running wasn't just a convenience, it truly felt like a Godsend.
