Been coming here for many years. Staff is very friendly & helpful. The shop has everything you need to keep your pool clean & sparkling. No need to go anywhere else for your pool supply needs. Joe the owner is very knowledgeable, a pool expert and is there to give recommendations on any pool issues. Highly recommended!

This review is about the installation of a Salt System. They left the ground wire hanging from the pump to the equipment box. See the copper wire in the photo. When I spoke to the installer and asked that the wire be buried, I was told they do not have enough wire. They left without fixing it. I was told, " It is not a big deal. You will be not be walking or running back there” The installer was dismissive and did not care about my concerns.

I called the store immediately after the contractor left. One the phone I was told they would send someone to look at the problem. Later that afternoon, I went into the store to show. The store manager apologized for the installer and told me he was having a bad day. They sent out an electrician to fix the problem. Unlike the previously installer stated this was fixed without the need for any additional wire.

In addition, the salt cell started to leak 2 days after the initial installation. They came right out to fix the issue. I am very pleased with the service from the store. I have been a loyal customer using Pinch a Penny for over 20 years. Always excellent customer service and fantastic help inside the store. All the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly.

I will not be using Pinch a Penny to install a system again. Even if someone is having a bad day, the work performed should at a minimum meet basic standards. I am pleased that Pinch a Penny fixed the problem. However, the quality of the contractors they use is something to be concerned about.
