Omg you will not believe the absolute horror show I just dealt with at Tropical Smoothie. I am actually furious. I just wanted a quick smoothie and a bite to eat but it turned into the most miserable 45 minutes of my life.
First of all, I walk in and the place smells like old mop water and sour milk. The floors were so sticky my shoes were literally making velcro noises against the tile, and every single table was covered in sticky rings and dirty napkins. The trash cans were overflowing, there were flies everywhere, it was disgusting.
Then the service. There were four people working behind the counter and I swear they were moving in slow motion. Nobody greeted me, nobody even looked at me. I stood at the register for a solid 5 minutes while the cashier just stared blankly at the screen ignoring me. When they finally took my order they didn’t say a word, just gave me a dead-eyed stare. I waited TWENTY-FIVE MINUTES for one smoothie and a flatbread, and there was only one other person in the whole store!
And the food was literally inedible. The smoothie was totally separated and lukewarm, like it had just been sitting there. It wasn’t even blended properly—I kept sucking up massive chunks of solid ice and then slimy, stringy pieces of kale. It tasted like pure watered-down sugar. Then the flatbread was a medical mystery because it was somehow burnt to a crisp on the outside but the cheese in the middle was still freezing cold and completely un-melted. The chicken was so dry and rubbery I took two bites and threw it away because I was genuinely terrified of getting food poisoning.
I’m literally never going back there again, it was a total trainwreck. I’m still starving and completely pissed off 😭 Avoid that place at all costs!!

The workers here are nice and patient. Very calm and have a calm personality. Great customer service. Got my food quick and calm. Welcomed in with a smile. The place was clean and tidy. Hard workers.

I work at a company near by and we sometimes place big orders from this location for friday lunches. It is always so good and even though its big orders, everything is always correct and nothing is ever missing! Recently I accidently made order for pick up when i meant to do delivery but I called the location and they said no problem and made the delivery themselves. The food and smoothies are always so good and fresh!!!

I had a pretty disappointing experience here. The smoothie bowl wasn’t filled all the way—it actually looked slanted, like it was rushed and half-done. For something that’s supposed to be a main item, the portion and presentation just didn’t feel right.
The apple kale slaw was even worse. It had almost no flavor at all, and the apples were noticeably brown, which made it seem old and unappetizing. On top of that, there was no dressing, so it was basically just dry, bland ingredients thrown together.
Overall, it felt like very little care went into the food. Definitely not what I expected
