​I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my first colonoscopy yesterday (9/22/26) at Grossmont Surgery Center! I was so anxious leading up to the appointment, but the entire staff (front desk, Jennifer, Margot, Irene, & Dr.Banaie) were beyond amazing. They were compassionate, reassuring, and made the whole process completely stress-free from start to finish. Thank you to the wonderful team for taking such great care of me!

I had a great experience with the medical team. I felt completely safe and comfortable. It was my first colonoscopy. At my age, I felt a lot of apprehension. Everything went smoothly from the initial sign-in to waking up at the end of the procedure.

Check in was easy, wait was a bit long. I got there when they said, at 7:15 with an 8am appt, didn't get called back til around 8:20. You do NOT have to pay for parking n you can park right there in front of the entrance!! 😃 My driver was pleasantly surprised, n a bit shocked. Waiting room crowded, I couldn't sit with my driver, & all seats were taken, but no one standing.
The receptionist was very friendly, as was all the front staff! The very awesome, energetic lady that took me back (I didn't get her name! So mad 😭) for intake made me feel so comfortable, answered all my questions, explained everything, was not rushed at all, asked what I needed to make me comfy, I said I was cold n her face lit up n said, I have WARM BLANKETS for you!! She got me on the gurney n ran to go get several hot blankets that were deliciously warm!! She even got me more when those wore off. She was VERY efficient taking my vitals like she had done it--seemed like millions of times. When she went to put the IV port in, she couldn't find a suitable vein so told me she was gonna put it in my hand, which was more painful, so prepared me. She talked to me the whole time, shoved the needle in my vein FIRST ATTEMPT n I only felt a small prick 😳 (When I got home, I took the bandage off n found NO bruising, discoloration of any kind, only a tiny red spot where the needle went in--no swelling, no pain, NOTHING!! 👀🥹💖)
When I got to surgery room, the nurse asked who my Dr was n she said, OH he's such a teddy bear, we love working with him! Her n the other assistant were very attentive, making sure I was dignified n covered, explaining everything step by step, never rushed or impatient. The Dr came in n asked abt something at my work, which was crazy bc I had only seen him once briefly for a consultation many weeks prior. So I was impressed he remembered to ask n not treat me as just another "next" patient. 😊
I was in n out of the actual procedure within 15 min--he was very efficient & I was only put under slightly, so recovery time was very short--under 15 min n I was not groggy or sluggish--I felt no pain during or after the procedure at all!!
So grateful for Dr. Reddy & the whole staff at Grossmont Surgery Center for a very pleasant, easy experience that was very anxiety inducing bc of being my first time!! Cannot say enough good things abt this place n staff!!

Everyone @ this center was outstanding. Our ride home was very very late but they were extremely accommodating in every way. Making every effort to keep us informed & comfortable. My husband said he was truly impressed. Thank you for taking such excellent care of him.
