Sever was alright service timing was poor . Bread was served after our salad and dinner arrived while eating salad. The bus boy was snarky about it when we mentioned the fact . Charged twice for meals although server corrected it . We gave a tip though the service wasn’t great. Neat old building and the food was great but this restaurant could use a improvement. We get much better service at old spaghetti factory’s in metro Vancouver bc Canada plus they include a coffee for free in the price.

Great Spot During Comic-Con, Solid Entrees (Just Mind the Price Tag!)

We stopped by The Old Spaghetti Factory in San Diego during Comic-Con, and overall, it was a memorable meal with great, classic comfort food. Even with the bustling convention crowd in town, the atmosphere was fun, nostalgic, and welcoming.

For our main courses, we went with two staple items: Our Famous Baked Lasagna ($24.25) and the Italian Sausage with Meat Sauce ($23.75). The lasagna was cooked perfectly—packed with rich layers of tender noodles, savory marinara, flavorful ground beef and pork, and melted, gooey cheeses. It was wonderfully hearty and hit all the right spots after a long day at the convention. The Italian Sausage with Meat Sauce was equally impressive; the sausage had a great zesty kick, and the scratch-made rich meat sauce complemented it beautifully.

Both entrees were delicious, well-prepared, and satisfyingly filling. That said, the prices did feel a little high for pasta dishes, touching nearly $25 per plate. While the portion sizes and quality definitely helped justify the cost, it’s worth noting if you're keeping an eye on your dining budget.

If you're in San Diego—especially during a busy weekend like Comic-Con—and craving classic, comforting Italian dishes, it’s definitely worth a visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and would happily come back!

This is a special place of nostalgia for my mother, who is well known for being picky and at time challenging to please. She said to tasted right and, despite just being spaghetti, was still special.

We enjoyed that atmosphere and the reasonable prices. Yes, you're paying $20+ for dinner, but that includes a soup or salad and spumoni ice cream!

We had a fantastic waiter who was friendly, energetic, and attentive.

Among touristy restaurants, OSF is high up on our list as a favorite.

I have to go e a 4-star for service because I asked for a Cabernet and the waiter told me they were out, despite a full bar and a wine room. It's just as likely that they are out of pasta. Other than that, the restaurant is beautiful with a wide variety of seating arrangements, full bar, and delicious food. It was quiet, our service was polite and fast, and the prices were reasonable.

Best pasta in San Diego. So underrated. Potpourri is my fave to order with salad with blue cheese dressing. Missing the way they made the blue cheese dressing in the 90s (sharp blue cheese flavor with more chunks). Great ambiance with newly upholstered furniture. Moderate to quiet noise level, very professional servers. Full meal served for $20.00 and great place to bring professional contacts, kids, family members, romantic dates, friends, etc. great meeting place and if you come here you won’t have any hiccups along the way- smooth sailing for $20.00. The bread is good, the spumoni is great, the iced tea is wonderfully strong. Esteban was our server and I give him five stars! I grew up going to spaghetti factory and feel like every kid should experience dining at spaghetti factory as a kid. It has become nostalgic in the best way for me!
