Clean and quiet. Never heard any noise outside the room during our stay. Amenities were plentiful and the staff very friendly. Well appointed bathroom had everything needed. Slept very well in the world's highest casino hotel. Free Shuttle runs every 30 min to take folks all over Cripple Creek.

No frills hotel and modest casino. The hotel has only a drinking fountain to fill up your water bottles, no gym (a very, very shabby gym is provided at the "sister location" up the hill), and no complimentary coffee or anything else in the morning. The room was acceptable but the television service was intermittent. Location is very close to town, but other hotels are right in town so if proximity to multiple casinos is a priority this it not the best location.

I had a comped room and I was charged $137 for it 2 weeks ago. I've made 2 attempts to email and I also called and talked to the front desk,she said the manager we would call me back. This was 5 days ago. Plus the last 2 times I've been the TV didn't work because they have a new satellite system I believe that's not good enough for the area but they won't fix it. Guess I'll have to go through my credit card to fix the bill,very disappointed since I've stayed there many times. The front desk women are very nice,that's definitely a positive.

It was our first time stay at the Golden Nugget and we were disappointed. We normally stay at the Chamonix but my husband and I really wanted to check it out. We very rarely win at the GN Casino but we still try our luck. It's definitely not the main spot for us because they dont pay. But the biggest problem was that the moment we walked in, NO INTERNET SERVICE! We either had to go outside or go to a certain spot in the casino. It was ridiculous. It's 2026 that shouldn't be a problem. Chamonix doesnt have this problem. Its VERY clear that GN doesnt want you on your phone so you can gamble and spend more money. In our room, our internet was nonexistent from the moment we walked in til we left. My phone notified me that I was only able to make emergency calls. We couldnt even communicate with our kids.

I've stayed here twice now. The beds are extremely hard and firm if that is your preference. Front desk staff is always nice (Dana). The Internet doesn't work to good. My BIGGEST issue is NO 🚫 coffee ☕ NO coffee in casino and NO coffee in lobby. There is one cup in room but that is out of the nasty machine that never gets cleaned. This is an ISSUE with 90% of guest as nothing opens till 8am. Please get a coffee ☕ machine in lobby and casino. I'm sure you can find a budget for this. Hotel rooms are clean. The Internet was out 80% of the time. The 4th floor vending machine just don't (cold coffee looks terrible) also main floor vending is out of toothpaste and toothbrush 🪥 no complementary items of course. People also Park in the crosswalk to do unloading witness blind person almost run into a car crossing the crosswalk.
