By far the worst scheduling And HR software I’ve ever seen. Customer service is a joke, nobody follows up on request, they get you to sign a contract and then don’t give you any support to fix their shortcomings. Completely run from this company, it is not good at all.

Super simple process to update my benefits, request time-off, etc. I definitely prefer the interface as a salaried employee, rather then as an hourly employee clocking in. One improvement I would love to see is the PTO time bank for the upcoming year. It's tough to plan ahead when you can only see the remaining time balance for the current year.

Paycom is a robust and complex system. If implementation was not successful, it is a rough project to get the system to your liking. There are some nuances about Paycom that are hard to learn, but once you learn it, it eventually becomes easier. The way the menus are setup are kind of different as well as the names for certain things. For instance, if you want to search for an employee, you have to click on Make Employee Changes which is a weird subject to click on when you search someone. I wish there was a search bar at the top of the page at all times so I could just search anyone at any moment. I am new to Paycom. I just started learning it at the end of May 2024. It has been an interesting journey but I am starting to see the benefits of it and some things I wish were different. Our account manager is pretty responsive through email but usually wants us to call him which can be an inconvenience due to us having to call into the normal line and speaking with someone else entirely. I wish our account manager would answer our questions through email for convenience. Something else that is weird to me is the fact that we have to pay extra for the "upgrade" BETI. It should just be included for everyone due to us paying over $40,000 a year on this HRIS system.

3 years ago we started using Paycom. The implementation was long but well worth it! I found a lot of solutions that I couldn't find elsewhere. Over the past year, the quality and attention to detail in their software has started to decline. When they change one thing, other features deteriorate causing small things that normally work to breakdown. I had an incredible Account Rep who could help me at the turn of a dime and readily available to. That too is no longer the case, I have an been assigned a new account rep that does not understand the software or how it works. He needs time to ask someone else and more often than not he doesn't have a solution within a timely manner ( I am used to a 24 hour turn around time frame on more challenging issues). Paycom used to be the gold standard but their growth has compromised their quality. To give examples of small tasks that seem to be lacking... A performance action form no longer allows you to change a position title, only a department. ( I suspect it's a development glitch), when an employee transfers departments you need to manually remove the schedule they are assigned otherwise they are locked into that schedule in their new department, their open enrollment is based upon a Q4 open enrollment only so if you renew your benefits outside of Q4 you are essentially undergoing two open enrollments each year and carrier EDI connections as well ( a nightmare for benefit invoice auditing), setting up benefits on your own is a nightmare... so many intricacies... but to have a benefit specialist help me I was quoted $6k ( varies upon how many benefit plans you have) to help me set them up and that's an annual cost if I want to continue using a benefit specialist each open enrollment. These are just a few examples but they become thorns over time. They boast the money saved in HR "manual changes" being put onto employees but the true HR that isn't being tracked by their system is actually being spent contacting them to solve really small things that haven't been an issue in the past 3 years. Honest opinion... Paycom truly was outstanding when I first implemented it, the quality has just recently become disappointing. Hoping they figure out a solution soon because they have the potential to be the #1 in the industry. Paycom fan who is slowly losing hope.

I think a big part of your success with Paycom will have to do with the customer relations employees you work with. We used to have a wonderful contact at Paycom who helped us with all of our problems. Sometimes weird things would happen with the system (and honestly looking back at it, too often), but she was always there to help us fix them whenever they occurred.
Well, since she was so great, eventually she was promoted above helping us (we are happy for her), but the following years were a stream of less than competent points of contact. They weren't helpful, they were slow to fix problems (one in particular is for some reason not registering holiday pay for only some of our entities and employees for Christmas causing huge nightmares to fix), wanted to nickel and dime EVERYTHING (we implemented our own alternatives to some of their offerings for a fraction of the price), too often told "I don't know" in response to problems, and charged us significantly more money for each additional entity we brought online with Paycom. You'd think they would want to grow with us, but their pricing said otherwise.
Eventually we found a new company to help us with HR/Payroll. We tried to get as much data out during our transition, but after two weeks, they held our data hostage and want to charge us almost 1/2 of our old fees to simply have read only access to our old data. Insanity.
If anyone ever asks me about using Paycom as a service to cover their HR and payroll needs, I will very easily tell them to find another solution.
EDIT: Even more, in regards to them preventing US to have read only access to our company's data, they have also kicked off EVERY EMPLOYEE from being able to access their own stuff with their logins. Employees can't even see old pay stubs or W2s through their portal. Complete frustration.
